When people say that its hard to serve God.Is it because they try to have their cake and eat it too?
What I found to be a fact is that it is easy, when you don't put your self in the way.
I have known people who said it was too hard to serve God. The fact is, they just didn't want to make changes in their life style. They didn't understand that once you are saved and Jesus comes into your heart, your "wants" change. Your attitude changes.
It isn't hard at all because you feel more love and patience. Forgiveness and understanding. Your a different person, and you feel good about it.
You said it well my friend. And in addition:IF YOU ARE NOT PART OF THE SOLUTION...THEN YOU ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM.
It is not all that difficult to serve God. Just throw it in the microwave, zap it for three minutes, and pour it on as a topping onto your cake.
It is usually because they don't want to "Go the extra mile" to satisfy God's expectations, for God is perfect and expects perfection in what we are able to do, not just half-assed attempts.
I believe it's because it can be hard sometimes! We are born with a selfish nature and sadly that doesn't just fly away when we start following Jesus. Lovely as that would be!
That said it is not 'too hard' because God gives us help through the Holy Spirit.

For the very many years I was in Church attendance, the Kingdom of God was always equated with Heaven. It was a future event that only those who believed in Jesus would see either when they died or were raptured, whilst...
