Why Do People Brag They Had A Good Christian Upbringing But Fail To Do Same To Their Children?
Because they are the sort of people who follow the hypocrisy of:
Hate your next door neighbour
But don't forget to say grace
Barry McGuire c1966
If they really had a good Christian upbringing, wouldn't they be hanging on a cross somewhere?
All I can say is what I have seen. My step-mother was raised in a Cathilic upbringing and she states it was good. However, when it came to herself and raising her kids? She did not agree with some of the 'rulles' of religion. She actually changed Religions because of the way she was treated after her divorce by the Catholic Church. Seems they were not so 'forgiving' after all.
But that doesn't mean that religion cannot be taught in your home, it just doesn't have to mimic how you were raised. The values can reamin and you can still have a healthy, God led moral upbringing.
