Fear is a worry you feel when you get out of your comfort zone.
Fear is a pain you experience when you expect the worse.
It's a natural feeling that a person have when we're in danger of feel that something's bad's going to happen. Unfortunately, it's uncontrollable.
Fear is the opposite of love. Perfect love casts out fear. Fear has to do with punishment.
I don't know i can answer best or not but in my glance fear is-
"The only thing we have to fear is fear it'self - nameless, unreasoning, unjustified, terror which paralyzes needed efforts to convert retreat into advance"
Fear for me is a friend I don't always like, since sometimes fear is wrong.
great question. there is more than one kind of fear. there is the fear we feel when we sense something is wrong or danger is near...the kind we should listen to and act on to stay safe and alive. then there is the momentary fear or startle that we cannot control, like when a large bird swoops across your windshield late at night. then to there are the fears of the mind...things that dont exist, or perhaps do but are not as bad as we make them by worrying about them. a lot of what man fears, those in the mind, not momentary or physical things, are often things we believe will happen, and on that belief we worry until the fear grows nearly to big to handle. it is the fears of the mind that we CAN control. we need only realize their source, look at the true facts, acknowledge and accept our own weaknesses...and realize that sometimes our weaknesses are our strengths.
in all honesty the best way to overcome all fears of the mind is in trusting in GOD. in understanding HE is in control of all, and nothing can harm me without HIS permission, or should something happen, at least I know there is a purpose in it or HE would not have allowed it, even if i cant see that purpose right away...i have no fears of the mind anymore.
Fear is the opposite of love...and fear is encouraged by our egos. My hub on fear tackles the main variants.
Definition or exact meaning of fear vary from person to person. Fear is something which makes you uncomfortable. Fear is invisible one can just feel it. Its like when something goes wrong or when we do some thing wrong which makes you uncomfortable then this Fear factor arise in you.
In short we can say that when we are in uncomfortable zone when we don't have any hope at that time Fear arises in us.
Fear is really anxiety about the future. Fear indicates lack of confidence in your self. It also indicate that we are too much attached to the body conscious. Fear arises out of ignorance of our own identity with God. Yes, the Self within all beings is one and the same and the Self is nothing but ATMA or God, which is all pervading like the ether which surrounds us. It not only surrounds us but it is verily inside us also. We demarcate ourselves from the Universal self thinking that we are limited to our bodies. But bodies come and go. They take birth and after some time, they die. How this impermanent, ephemeral thing can be YOU? The body came in the middle and depart in the middle. You have to seek the Permanent Entity which is the SELF within. Once you understand your real identity with the Universal Soul or SELF, you will be completely rid of fear. Self confidence is nothing but confidence in the SELF!
Fear- we fear only when we are wrong; it is just a feeling that dominates us for sometimes just because of our wrong deeds. So if we are not wrong, then we need not to worry.
An unpleasant emotion caused by the belief that someone or something is dangerous, likely to cause pain, or a threat.
Fear is when you are out of your comfort zone, when you are experiencing things you have never gone through before, when you cannot simplify the situation , when you are confused and have many apprehensions.Fear according to me is 'F ailure to E xamine and A pprove R eal and non real things in life.
