    "If wishes were horses beggars would ride."

    Is this saying valid in current times?

    I don't really think it is very much correct in the present scenario where there is such a hustle and bustle of life.....

    Ah Rajan an oldie but a goodie.  I find this saying as applicable today as at any time in the past.  The only things that may make this saying obsolete are the words themselves.  Maybe we could change it to read - "If wishes were Harleys homies would ride."

    Yes, even now, it still means that wishes can not be counted upon, and we still have those in need, around us.
