   Yes, a soul has always proven as an intelligent energy than men because where mind and heart fails our souls remain pure and if utilized in a better form it can do miracles.

   I can not find info to back this up but over 35 years ago I read of a test where people who were dying were put on a water scale Here is one. "this is not an affiliate link just an explanation of a water scale http://www.inewidea.com/2011/01/26/36293.html"
   The test showed that when a person dies they loose a very small amount of weight
   This weight was thought to be the soul.  But some thing gives us the ability to think in no logical ways and have emotions I believe it is our soul.

   I think it could. I think at some point we will discover that light has properties of intelligence or intelligence has certain properties of light or some such think. For instance, right now some people are fond of saying that intelligence is just an artifact of electrical activity in the brain, that what we think we are is an illusion because we're just meat-brains generating a small amount of electricity and when the meat brain is gone and the electricity stops, we are gone too.
   
   But I think another way to look at it is that the brain is a receiver and the electricity a part of a much larger intelligent energy. When the brain dies the electrical charge returns to that larger field and merges with it.

   I believe that the soul and spirit are one and the same and that each person has one that is born and it lives forever in some form. We derive our intelligence from genetic influences and our environment. As human beings we often learn from our experiences and our drive to investigate and striving for more knowledge is what makes us gain more intelligence. The body's weight has been measured by scientific experiments and it was found at the time of death, the body weight lost a small amount which was thought to be the loss of spirit or what we call the soul or life energy source. Once when I went to my grandmother's funeral at the parlor, my wife and I witnessed a strange green orb that floated in the air above us as we entered the doorway to where my Grandmother's casket was located. We decided that it was her life essence or spirit watching over those who came to see her. I believe that intelligence is part of the life force or spirit, and that children or relatives of each person inherits this, in part from their benefactors.I also believe that our spirits go to be with the one great life source, that we call heaven and our Creator at the time of our body's passing.If one is to consider the magnitude of what we call the universe and all that is in it, with its constant growth, and that as intelligent beings , we understand that there has to be a creative force for all that is seen in existence, then we certainly have a right to belief in our God, the one great Creator of all.

   The Spirit is intelligent energy. Soul is a quality of living tissue. Everything living has a Soul but only Souls connected to Pure Energy has Spirit.
