Do you believe that God can literally speak to you with a voice or in your mind to answer prayers?

We have different beliefs about God. What do you feel about him talking to you if you think it is possible or not?

I believe that some higher force does get through to us via thoughts. I also believe that we all have guardian angels that are our constant conpanions throughout our lifetimes. They will always try and give us messages to help us make the best of a situation. Never drive faster than your guardian angel can fly. They are there to help us at all times throughout our time. listen to your inner voice at all times. Listen to your gut feeling, it is normally your angel guiding you.

We speak to God through our guardian angel who is always with us even though we may not know it.

Sometimes we have the six sense of certain things happening which is our communication with our guardian angel and receiving sort of warning when there is danger.

If we can succeed in doing Soul Travel or OBE (out of body experience) then we will have the chance to meet face to face with our guardian angel.

We are communicating with God through our guardian angel.

I believe the Lord Almighty may still speak to us in his true voice or through a heavenly messenger. There are many references to this in the bible. All the examples I know of are when The Lord commanded certain people with specific tasks, after the command was given that person became “anointed by the Lord” meaning that person was chosen to do the Lords work, not by men, not by priest or kings but by The Almighty Lord Himself. When you look at some of those that were chosen: Elijah, Abram, Moses etc. you see that not just anybody was picked for these tasks, you had to be a pretty special person with a close favor with The Lord.

Yes, God can and does talk to us through His Holy Spirit. We must have and bear his spirit or how else is he going to lead us,work through us.This why a majority of churches fall to stand and or do the job in which they have been called to.
Man's ways are not God's-so we need to seek, have and follow the leading of God.
God has always communicated with mankind- those that love, seek, and desire to follow him.God made a way for us to all have access to His Holy Spirit and I believe that if this is not evident in ones life that they need to ask God for more of His Holy Spirit like in Luke 11:13. A lot of us fail to have what God wants us to have to be able to serve him because we do not ask .James 4:2 /with power from on high."Luke 24:49
... 'The man on whom you see the Spirit come down and remain is he who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.'John 1:33

But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name,..John 14:26

Teach me to do your will..may your good Spirit lead me on level ground.>Ps 143:10

But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth...John 16:33
..Your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, "This is the way; walk in it."> Is 30:21
But if you are led by the Spirit..Galatians 5;18
..the promised Holy Spirit and has poured out what you now see and hear.Acts 2:33
With great power the apostles continued to testify ..Acts 4:33
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." Acts 1:8

"And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. ...Joel 2:28

Those who obey his commands live in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us.>1 John 3:24

For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.
Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God>1 Corinthians 2:9.

We must know the voice of the good shepherd Jesus and not follow the voice of a stranger-John 10 This is how we overcome and follow God.

21Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.

22And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:John 20

Sure...whether He does or not is up to Him, not us and the spiritual manipulating we might try.
Oh, with the plethora of gods that get mentioned in this part of the Hubisphere, I'm talking about the One who sent Jesus to die on the cross to pay for sin; just to put my answer in context, not to preach.
As an example,  I will cite that I have read stories coming in from the Middle East and Africa these days in Christian missions newsletters of folks seeing Jesus in dreams as individuals as well as, in one case, a whole village, causing them to convert to Christianity.
Sorry, I can't detail sources due to the danger in which it would put folks; although I'm sure Google will lead you in the direction if you're interested.

God came to my husband on the veranda of his house when he was 13 yrs old. He was the light that devided the sunlight in the sky. Out of that light He spoke to him. He called him three times before Sam realized it was the almighty God. He spoke audibly.Samuel do you want to sing for me? 3 time. Sam got up and looked up to the light and said "yes Lord, I not only want to sing for you once but for the rest of my life. Sam went running downstairs to tell his mother and two 8ft angels with long blonde hair were following him down the stairs and his mother was at the bottom of the stairs and when Sam spoke his voice had been changed from a soprano voice to a bass.  She fell to her knees when she realized that God had visited him and changed him. He had a light in his face that was very brilliant and she could not look straight at him. She got up and ran to the phone and called his father and told him to call all the pastors in town and bring them to the house. They could not look at him either so they put a veil over his head. They continued to ask him questions for hours. For 3 or 4 days he had to wear this veil on his head as the light took that long to go away. He has sang ever since he was 8 years old and did his debut at 16 yrs old in Otello.  He is still singing. There is information on YouTube and he is singing there. He has sang all over the world. He once stayed at Pavoratti's house as his wife, Awdua, I believe her name was, , was his manager in Italy. He sang many times for queen Elizabeth and we both sang at the Christian Inaugural for Pres. Bush.  He is still singing! He has had many experiences with God and the Holy Spirit.  The Holy Spirit speaks to me also. I believe that the more time you spend with God the better you get to know him. He told me one time that He has taken me away from the rest of my family just so He could be near me, without their interference. My family refuses to even acknowledge that God  exists. That is called the unparonable sin. He is a jealous God and He said that not to throw my pearls before the swine!  He will not force anyone to love Him. That is why he gives man free will.  He is a very loving God and is always there to answer me when I ask Him something. He is also a very jealous God. I really love Him so. That is what He wants from all of us, our love and attention, and He wants us all to love each other, as we are all a part of each other. I love my family very much, but they don't love our creator and that is sad.  I forgot to tell you, Sam is a Jewish Rabbi.  He is also from the tribe of Levites in the Bible. None of my children are saved, they have not received Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Once we all learn that LOVE is the most important thing, we will progress along the path to a greater knowledge of our Lord and Savior. It will make passing away much easier, especially when we slip out of this body and into our spiritual body.

God speaks to us all. But do we listen?

By any name, a voice within that guides us to peace and harmony is, directly or ultimately, from the Divine.

Prayer is asking. Meditation is becoming still and listening for the answer.

Let us all practice listening to the still small voice of the Divine, and letting go of the noisy demands of our egos and the world.

Lets start with, yes he can.  Why doesn't he?  When one hears his voice, it is usually a call to action.  If one has actually heard his voice one is accountable for what was said.  The voice doesn't come alone, it comes usually with a mind blowing dimensional download of information.  One is responsible for that as well.  When one isn't use to it, it usually takes a bit to sort out what was said, what is required and how to go about it. The only question that doesn't seem to have an answer up front is why.  Don't bother looking because you will only get yourself into trouble.  If you are diligent the first time there will be a second time.  The catch is that he could ask anything and he will usually start with the things you will least like to do but must.  Obedience is mandatory to continue the conversation.  Obeying comes with greater light and enlightenment but not necessarily a feeling of comfort.  Those are the ropes.
