What is the point to forcing your beliefs on other people?

Christians are told to share their beliefs. If people don't accept what you have to say your are to move on. That is what Jesus taught. It is a Christian's job to share, not to convert.

Mormons follow the Bible as well as the Book of Mormon, that means they should be listening to what Jesus said about sharing as well.

For that matter so should Muslims, after all to Muslims Jesus was a prophet, and one that is held in very high regard.

I have no idea why atheist's bother to force their beliefs on anybody.

Isn't the point to share something positive. Not force the negative on others?

Trying to get someone else on your side. That's the only reason I can think of. Maybe to feel better about yourself that you got someone else to believe your views.

To me, there is a duty to be "there" for any questions, misconceptions, traps and anger. That is my part. I feel my "self" to be analytical, keen, patient, and humble; among a myriad of other adjectives that may fit. I am perfectly suited for this task. Not because of me. Because of my father. I have been preparing for something like this for a long time. Not me. My father. To walk away from one who does not accept has more to do with storming away when one does not agree. I have nothing but time to sit and talk. If you are thinking outside thr realm, you should know. Where there are two or three gathered in his name, he attends. He does the real work, bilaterally. I am corrected many times, through my own speaking. I am not/never forcing anything, for one smile cool as a cucumber. I share what I have at whatever level presented. The conversation changes from one point to the next. I debate with the same few over and over, it seems. How else can they hear? God desires that none perish. To force an idea or belief? Relative. I somewhat hear "force" coming from the "dark side". But that is characteristic.

It's to gain stars in their crowns.  I believe it's also because they think by converting others, it proves they're right, because they tend to be especially forceful when the potential convert brings up issues they can't answer.
