What do you think I should do?

I have been so turned off of Christianity by so many people, mostly family, because all they do is judge EVERYBODY and condemn them all to hell. Well, I know I don't have to be like them in any way. I know I can still have my own relationship with God, but I cannot be a part of a religion based on things I do not believe in. I also cannot stand the fact that my entire family would instantly judge me and look down upon me for not being Christian. What should I do?

You have to do what you feel in your heart, mind, and soul. If you're not true to yourself you won't be able to succeed at anything because you'll be too frustrated. Don't be afraid. Listen to your  own thoughts, not those who have other motives in mind. Don't back down, but make sure to be true to what it is that you do believe.
    Peace to you,

Thank you SO MUCH, Lisa for answering my question. I appreciate your input profoundly and you're right. I do need to be true to myself. I'm so exhausted from trying to please everybody. It is aging me and I'm so tired. sad Thank you so much!

You are one of so many who face the same problem. Your relationship with your god are YOUR business. I personally am a confused atheist, my husband is a believer. However he does not have the same beliefs of his parents. We live in a small 99% Christian town. The kind of town where if people knew you weren't one of them they would all talk about it. So I don't go around making announcements. My husband doesn't go around telling his parents they are wrong. He keeps his beliefs to himself, something I wish all believers and non believers could do.
The key is to do what is right for YOU. Your parents should have nothing to do with your personal relationship with a god.

Religion is always a very personal thing or at least should be. The religious organizations won't stand for anyone having their own beliefs or they wouldn't be around very long. That's why they see to it our children are well indoctronated from day one.
Your a lucky man believe it or not, honest too. To hell with what other people believe in no matter who they are. Do you want to be one of the brain washed many or an individual that still has a brain that can think on it's own?
Personally, I'm proud to know you. Stand your ground and never give in to the collective just to be one of the boys. And while your at it, take it one step further and work to expose and dismantle these multi-billion dollar organizations sucking up huge global resources and giving back absolutly nothing but lies...
