Would you stand for your religion if death were the only other choice?
There are so many opposing views available nowadays. You can find just about anyone that will refute what you believe, demand "proof" for the beliefs your words and actions, and demand that you change to better suit their comforts. Religion of any kind is scary to those who don't understand it. Is it hard for you to stay faithful with so much pressure around you to change?
Absolutely not. There is no religion worth dying for. God is not a religion and in today's world, religions are no more than a business that controls lives and saps your finances - all without having to pay any taxes.
You do realize that God is not the only religion out there. There are hundreds of thousands of different religions out there. A lack of religion could even be considered a type of "religion."
God IS NOT a religion. my answer includes all religious sects, cults & denominations. Standing up for 1's principles is another matter, tho. 1 can B a spiritual person without belonging 2 a religion/cult/sect/ect.. Ur ? asks only about religion.
And whether or not you believe or agree doesn't make something not a religion. If people believe in it and claim it as their religion, then it is. My question asked whether you would die for your beliefs. You get off topic so easily.
I did. Your point? If you're going to post on this question, why not answer it?
I stay true to what I most deeply believe regardless of what anyone else does. This includes the possibility that someone might kill me. Many would consider my beliefs religious; many would see them as spiritual; some would see them as heretical. I'm inspired by great people of many faiths, and many of them died because they would not compromise their faiths: Jesus, Gandhi, members of the Order of Interbeing in Vietnam: all these committed pacifists hold to the truth, even to the point of death.
