What is it that you believe on?

Just wondering and I actually made a hub of it. The power of believing is truly powerful.

I believe that the world is truly good.

I believe God makes no mistakes and everyone has a purpose to be here. I believe nothing happens out of turn and our future has already been planned for us. I believe it is not up to us to question why things happen as they do, but to trust Him in His reasoning.  He will guide us through whatever He has lead us to.

I believe in absolute, "radical", purest honesty.

I believe that human nature and wisdom have not changed much since antiquity. What Buddha, the prophets, and the great thinkers and philosophers such as Socrates had said more than 2,000 years ago are still valid today, and yet the world has not learned from their wisdom. Wars and social ills continue unabated, despite two world wars. If anything, technology has enabled weapons to become even more destructive. As far as human nature and wisdom is concerned, I don't see that there will be much change, even a few hundred years from now.

Darksage, I agree with you too. But despite having so many religions, the world has not become a better place. Looking at the Malaysian experience where Islam is the official religion, people make use of religion to further their own agenda.

I believe in the gradual expansion and growth of all things. We look at the news and see how "horrible" the world appears because that is all that is covered. Underneath all that are first responders who die rescuing strangers, people doing good works for the sake of being kind - not out of fear of God or whatever, simply just because it's their nature.  I think for all the negative we are bombarded with there is just as much goodness and kindness we don't witness.  I see it in people - I seek it out and I think if we all did that more, we'd see a world that has grown and is far more good than bad.  I believe in the beauty of life and time and the importance of experience - all of it.

I believe the same way too. We grow each each day and that we always do good beyond everything else. Thank you for your answer smile

Christin has an optimistic outlook but unfortunately, what I see do not bear this out. We just had our general elections and everyone agrees that this is the dirtiest election Malaysia has ever held... many new tricks to keep the incumbent in power.
