Listen what Solomon said in Proverbs 6:16-19.

These six things doth the LORD hate; yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
a proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
a heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
a false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

These should be our reminders today. A lot of people do not anymore know what is right and wrong. Some might know what is right but still prefer to be on the side of evil. This proverb is a good eye opener for all of us today..

That is true @howtobeasuccess, the reminder is given but it is up to us to apply it to our daily
      living. Thanks for comment.

Seven abominations out of six things???  My head hurts!    Oh wait, there ARE seven mentioned.  So, which 6 does the Lord "hate"?  Wait again - aren't liars and lying of the same sin.  And itsn't it often said that Jesus says to (or is said to) hate the sin and love the sinner.  For scripture to be our guide, it seems to me it should be a tad more accessible and comprehendible!

Thanks for your comment@stanwshura. The Bible is accessible to all, if you don't believe you won't comprehend. It will only seem like foolishness to you. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Psalm 111:10.

And it goes on to say:
    Proverbs 6:20-23
20 My son, keep thy father's commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother:
21 Bind them continually upon thine heart, and tie them about thy neck.
22 When thou goest, it shall lead thee; when thou sleepest, it shall keep thee; and when thou awakest, it shall talk with thee.
23 For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:

The commandments of God are many and all of them we can follow and adhere to by God's grace, if we choose to.

      Thanks for your comment Deborah.
