Can people who are alive communicate with the souls of dead people?

There is a lady who is famous for channelling herself to the dead persons soul. One day one Lady I know went to visit her as wanted to talk to her father and mother who were already dead long ago She wasn't totally believing it but once this lady got channeled, her parents came into her body one by one and talked with her.She even says that this lady who doesn't know anything about her was talking with her all the things that she and her parents only knew about. Even the voice tone was similar, she said. How would it be possible? I asked this question myself a lot and now I put it here.

No. Mediums have long been debunked, perhaps most famously the magician and escape artist Harry Houdini absolutely abhorred and vehemently debunked the claims of spiritualists and Mediums. The art of Cold Reading is one that almost anyone can learn and has been in use for centuries. Furthermore many of these people who purport to talk to the dead are taking direct financial advantage of people who are grieving (this was the moral outrage that so passionately drove Houdini) and though some Mediums may actually believe their 'powers' are supernatural I would argue that most are knowing con artists.

"Even the voice tone was similar, she said. How would it be possible?"

Instead, ask yourself this, which is more likely, that the "psychic" guessed details and mimicked characteristics of the voice correctly or the far more extraordinary claim of actual spiritual channeling? Also, people tend to focus on the HITS and not the MISSES when visiting psychics, this is well known as a form of confirmation bias, they want to believe, or in some sense long to be convinced so if the psychic gets a few details wrong they are ignored when a big hit comes along.

Yeah I guess its about the big hits. When somebody very unknown could tell you exactly the things that you only knew. And I think when this happens people ignore the wrong details because the big hit already caught their attention.

Good question, DrGaneshPaudel. I have wondered about this for years and have watched several shows with mediums, channelers, and psychics. Titen-Sxull's answer is on point for most of what I've seen, particularly regarding the hits and misses ratio.
However, after seeing this new medium show on TLC called "Long Island Medium," I'm intrigued by the possibility that there is more to having access to the dead than previously believed. The difference with this woman is that she incorporates a spiritual message, often referring to God and her relationship with "Spirit." It's presented like a reality show where the viewer witnesses the reads. I can tell you she doesn't have "misses" with her "hits" which are amazingly accurate the first time. She doesn't guess like other mediums appear to do. They also interview the participants afterwards who are usually very cynical, non-believers who end up in tears. It's really quite fascinating. You should check it out. I guess the jury is still out on this one. Thanks for asking the question.

The question suggests there is something (a human soul) that survives death. I have my doubts about that.

Some people have psychic gifts. I would not encouraged it, as these things can side track you and slow down your progress on the journey of life. But yes, much more than this is possible. Did not the Christ walk on water? He said that we could do greater things with faith.

Generally those things are not helpful to know. Still, the spiritual life is a mystical one and much happened in the lives of the Saints both East and West.
Meditate, have faith in God and serve your fellowman. Seems a longer path, but definitely a safer process and you will most certainly one day find the answer to your own question.
