Oftentimes it becomes like Multi-Level Marketing (MLM).
They start attempting to recruit all their friends and family members. Conversations with others become very limited and religion is discussed whenever they're with a friend or family member for more than an hour. Some people gradually pull away from them.
In other instances the "saved person" pulls away from others to only associate with likeminded believers.
Well people view getting saved with baptism , Baptism is ones contract and dedication to do the work of the Heavenly Father.
Like a Job when you agree verbal or by contract you have a Job, one sided agreement will not be binding ,
Being saved same
Dash: "...Like "fire" shut up in my bones" (Jer 20:9)! Must tell! "Be not unequally yoked" (II Cor 6:14).
No one can become a Christian unless they are following the example of the one called the christ. To be able to follow him one must go through a metamorphosis the Bible calls "born again" -- having an event they recognize as their conception, other events which happened during gestation, their agonizing over giving up the world and its goods, their coming out of their previous way of life as their 'new birth" and then their growth from a baby through childhood and adolescence to adulthood [if there be any] -- where their only desire is to seek the understanding of all things.
Once one becomes a christian -- one in the likeness of christ -- growing in spirit it will be revealed if they are to survive civilization's end as Matthew 24:13 reveals as the only way one will be saved. Thus, only they will know if they be saved or not, when saying one is saved and not living John 3:8's requirement for the "spiritually born" one deceives themselves and those who they attempt to teach salvation to. Jeremiah 31:33-34 and Hebrews 8:10-11 & 10:16 say knowledge of salvation [law is written] will be written in our hearts. The phrase "in those days" means during the finial days of the world. In other words salvation requires one to forsake all attachments as the flaming sword protecting the way into the millennium [garden is written] in Genesis 3:24 and Matthew 19:29 reveals.
Hi Eli: "AFTER those days" means after He resurrected, after He sent the HS (Acts 2:2), He'd began "putting laws in our hearts, & writing them in our minds" as He did w/apostles! So it wasn't "Paul" speaking but JESUS (HS)!
What a great question to help us look at a very interesting concept. Aren't rescued and saved synonymous? My first thought was the damsel in distress being saved by Dudley Doright after being tied on the railroad tracks with the train fast approaching. Next was "Save the Whales". But you asked it about "becomes" saved, like an adjective. To describe someone who is saved. Some guy says "I am a lawyer" and some guy says "I am saved". For me, my action in becoming saved was a repentance or rejection of just accepting my bad ways and turning around and trying to do better. I like to believe that when I did that and accepted Christ in my heart I was saved. Perhaps the key is in - Saved from what? For me it was in being saved from myself and all my wickedness. I am not saved from doing wrong, but I am saved from the hell of thinking doing wrong is alright.
But with all that said, it is really just my side of the street. I would like to tell you what God does with us when we are "saved", what becomes of us. If you find out with this question let me know.
ED, comprehending Jesus (Mat 24:13), saved means to survive civilization's end especially because Rev 19:21 reads the unsaved discarnates and & 20:5 reincarnates after the 1st millennium, unwritten is they continue reincarnating until raptured.
Very interesting. In plain English you are saying we are reincarnated continuously until what is called the rapture?
ED, the Bible shows a cycle (Gen 1:14 & Ecc 1:9) of 2 raptures and man continue reincarnating until chosen (Jew) to rapture. N this material civilization everyone except Jews discarnate to reincarnate indestructible for Rev. 21's world.
Most intriguing. A blueprint with step by step detailed explanation. Gives a whole new meaning to "taking it on faith". Such certainty is refreshing. A protocol one can take to the bank.
Faith is seeking evidence and substance to certify the unseen (Heb 11:1). Faith makes one a scientist of religious concepts so I've taken it by the faith of study (2 Tim 2:15) and meditating (Psa 1) to put precept upon precept (Isa 28:9-10).
Marvelous, I have never heard faith described that way. So you are saying that being saved is only the beginning of a journey. Upon being saved we become travelers?
I'm saying being a living entity begins a journey through every attribute of every living being on earth and beyond we don't remember until after the "new birth" when the comforter (John 14:26) causes us to remember our other incarnations.
So back to the question. Being saved - we become?
We are saved from reincarnating therefore we become eternal beings who will not discarnate until everlasting life is over then we forget everything learned to return to incarnating again. For eternity to be there has to be an endless cycle.
Thank you much Elijah I learned a great deal. You have a most interesting view. Clearly you have spend much time and thought in seeking answers.
That's the christ's, Psalm 1's, the buddha's and all of the enlightened sages' messages & the only way to know the truth is living an objective Observing, participating as needed and reasoning with the various outcomes (Isa 7:15-16) & can exp
I agree w/u Eli! We are (according to II Cor 3:18) constantly "changing fm "glory to glory" (reincarnating if u pls) "growing" into His likeness! Continue to "study" & "grow!" This is a Spiritual "journey!"
ea reincarnation is not of OUR God, the God of Abraham. Isaac, Jacob and Christ follower. you are not giving scriptural answers but foolishness , false doctrines.shame on you. rapture is another false doctrine. You are false teacher
Charlie,
Look at Rev 19:21, all unsaved dies, in Rev 20:5 they lives again, is that done by reincarnate or body reforming into who they were? Daniel (12:13) will "stand in his lot" in the last days, is his body to reform or will he reincarnate?
Celafoe I just looked you up in the phone book and you ain't listed under God. your interpretation of scripture is yours. Good on ya, but it is not THE word. Get a grip. My God is not your God. Mine is an energy force of love not a wrinkled man.
GUYS: Heaven is ALL SPIRITUAL! No fleshly "body!" If "houses not made with hands" where are these "fleshly bodies" going to live? II Cor 5:1? (v4) "mortality swallowed up?" (v8) "absent fm body" present w/the Lord?" ALL SPIRITUAL!
NW, When we realize Lord only means governor & everyone is governed by their understanding of lack of [and allow others todo it for them], when we are absent from our bodies we realize we are our own Lord, Jn 10:34 written in your law, Ye are go
eric-- correct your god is not my God. Your sloppy liberal God without any rules is NOT the God of Abraham, Isaaic, the bible and those of us that endeavor to follow Christ. the real God is love and also judgement - go check the real bible
Eli: "..we are r own Lord?" Jn 10:34 means depending on our measure of FAITH n "rightly divided" we become "in HIS LIKENESS" (Christ-like) then "god like" r god! But believing in something other than Gal 1:6-9 NOTHING but "ACCURSED" (said it 2x's)!
One can't rightly divide truth unless they are living it which makes us anointed like Yeshua, "who, being in the image of god thought it not robbery to be equal with god." Isn't that also written for us to become?
Eli: How did Christ "live it?" Seclusion from the "lost sheep" & not "TEACHING?" We must "TEACH" "rightly divided" WORD! I'd love to seclude also, but only way I'd be able to TEACH would be via computer! Effective, but face 2 face better!
Hebrews 9:28 so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.
When He appears the second time we will know the answers. Until then no one knows.
Rich: Oh Yes we "KNOW!" Things we used to do doesn't interest us anymore! Supernatural changes are made in our lives! Renewed minds! Must tell ALL of the "Good News!!"
After "being born again" (saved) John 14:17 says "Even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you." Therefore, the Holy Spirit will come and dwell in you causing supernatural changes! To what degree relies on one's "belief" and "faith" in His "rightly divided" Word!
II Corinthians 3:18 says "But we all...are changed into the same image "from glory to glory," even as by the Spirit of the Lord." Which reaffirms that there are "supernatural" changes that occur in our lives changing us "from glory to glory" into His likeness!
Scripture tells us that "they that endure to the end shall be saved."
So the first thing is that you are DEAD and released from your physical body.. Or that you remained until the END of the age .
If you are talking about being "born again" then that is a different story.
In that case, you become a NEW CREATION the old person has been done away with and the new one has replaced them.
This new you has been equipped to and is now responsible to become a true Christ follower. You have now obligated yourself and are required to start studying and learning the scriptures that teach you how to do this. You have not obligated yourself to join a "church". you have become the church.
You are not obligated to be taught by man, but by the Holy Spirit as you ask Him to help you understand as you read scripture.
Lots happens but this is the most important [art.
Since the fig tree budded in 1948 when historical Israel became a nation and 80 years ends a generation, we reborn man [what all reborn becomes per Genesis 2:24] will endure the world's end not exceeding 2028, thus, we'll endure until the end.
Eli: Hey! I don't see how u will be ready for "End Times" when u don't realize Paul stood n Jesus' stead "AFTER THE CROSS" via Jer & Heb! Puts whole diff outlook (Gal 1:6-9) on Scripture! "Putting horse before the cart" KILLS!
Cool Norine, I am watching you and you are growing a bit. Keep it up. Our Gospel was not written like the ten in stone. We grow and we learn and we learn that good is good and it takes no words to say that.
Eric: Have u grown to coincide with WORD? Do u blv "AFTER THE CROSS" which is baptism n Jesus' Name, allowing Holy Spirit "guide," elevating "faith" to receive POWER as Jesus'? Are you "growing" or thgs Jesus did for "those x's only?"
NW, the end is no later than 2028. To endure require living without worldly things as Adam before believing in good and evil, that I can. I obtain the Jn 14:12 powers soon and am revealing what it takes therefore I'm ready. Do you see that you are?
Eli: If "no later than 2028," I ask again "Are u doing as reqtd until then which is AFTER THE CROSS" or do u put horse before cart? If 1 can't understand Jer & Heb, Jesus spake thru Paul, & we should follow Paul, then not ready so says Scrip
Required, live independent of most things man make, share what brought you to it & how you do it. None can survive it unless spiritually born & led from within. They can't believe a book and & not live what it say is required. You tell
norine, I hope you understand you are wasting your time with these 2 false prophets.
Charlie: I realize they've created "their" doctrine, but MAYBE 1 will "hear" if I continue to "repeat" or "remind" them of TRUTH GOD will allow 1 to "hear" because no one can draw "man" unless HE does!
I'm praying!

by G. Diane Nelson Trotter 4 years ago
Christians have their view and reasons for it. This doesn't matter as far as salvation. Salvation is a personal relationship with Jesus Christ because He shed blood for our sins and we accepted His sacifice as a gift.1. Wouldn't it be better to be raptured prior to the...
