What makes so many religionists contend that atheists & other non-traditionalists are evil while

contending that their religiosity makes them morally superior people, even going as far as  refusing to acknowledge that there are religionists who hide behind their religion to excuse their evil acts?

For exactly the same reason, atheist contend religionists are evil. Religion is a belief, all humans believe, ergo all humans are religious, to challenge a belief illicists an illogical often angry response, resulting in religious tensions.

"..to challenge a belief illicists an illogical often angry response, resulting in religious tensions."

God KNEW this would occur & told believers to (I Pet 3:15) "..answer EVERY MAN that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you..."

Answering a hope is not debating or judging , for a truth stands rather people believe it or not debating it does not change reality.
But the point is when a question is directed to you you can answer your resolve.
God is the Judge of his matter.

K&T: U don't speak TRUTH! GOD is not pleased w/ur "interpretation" of HIS WORD!(Amos 5:14-15) How can you hate the evil and love the good if you refuse to judge? You can't. You are SINNING when you REFUSE to judge. Why I'm here! READ those Script

Norine you mis the scriptures that says stop!
Lu 6:37“Moreover, stop judging, and you will by no means be judged; and stop condemning, and you will by no means be condemned.Keep on forgiving, and you will be forgiven
      Mt 7:1 also is clear.
      You do both

K&T:  Do "I" judge or do I give HIS WORD & IT judges?  Matt 7:1 Judge "righteous" judgment" which is HIS WORD ONLY! Not what I think (then I'd be judging) but HIS WORD (then HE judges)!  Same for Luke 6:37! He works thru us, using HIS WORD (n

I find it interesting that all the answers and comments come from the 33% of the humans that are Christians, they appear to assume any mention of belief is aimed at them and needs defending

Ag: When "religion" is involved what we blv (Bible) tells us to do so.  I Peter 3:15 says "...be ready ALWAYS to given any answer to EVERY MAN (blvr or not) that asketh u a reason of the hope that is n you.." But they delete! Expected response (LOL)!

gmwillians , I do not think that to be the case of all atheist
I have met some very interesting atheist, many are turned off from religion based on bad experiences,  and true as humans as example if we taste food and have a bad experience that effects us mentally and physically we tend to want it away from us, eliminate it from our presence.  Understood, but the problem is say you have a bad reaction from medicine and you are deathly sick, would you could you just not take any medicine at all , because of your bad experience with medicine.
Your symptoms will not leave or get better just because of your refusal of all medicine.
True religion has left a bad taste in many.
But the cure for everyone past and present has been paid for and will be administered soon.
The point is this comes through Jesus rulership
If people deny everything including him, then how can they recieve the cures paid for.
They will not recieve it because they deny hope
    Related to JESUS name.

Prime example of "Millennium Christian!"  Soothe sayings (kindness) but not TRUTH!  Heb 4:12 TRUTH (WORD) "..hurts..!"  If it (TRUTH) doesn't offend, either not a sinner or bothers conscience & becomes defensive!

      Appeasing=NO LOVE!

Norine the point when using God's words is help people
Not judge their situation,  like a doctor you can not judge all ailments the same, nore the cure all people are not no matter what they believe.  NOTICE
      2Ti 2:15 Do your utmost

K&T: Who taught u this? Not HIS WORD! Why go against HIS WORD to prove u r right? Not about us-but HIM! He said so, u do r blaspheming against Holy Spirit (JESUS)!

Norine Who blaspheme is not your calling or judgment.
Why do you set yourself above God deciding who has done wrong In his name. Let Jehovah be the Judge of what I do and I will give you the same respect.
      Because we both are imperfect.

Both "imperfect" - I AGREE!  (II Cor 3:18="chging!") Just "repeating" & "reminding" what HE SAID! Judge in Bible! Did u rd? WORD "judges" not blvrs!  WORD defines "blasphemy" also "slanderous or INJURIOUS TO ONE"S GOOD NAME!" LYING on HIM! Do utm

Norine, I looked up half of the versus you cited in ur 2nd comment, and most of them don't speak of judgement. The two that I looked which do suggest that a saint judges others.

Why do you cite irrelevant versus and, do you claim yourself a saint?

RL: LYING re: HIS WORD blasphemes against Holy Spirit (aka "Our Father!") Read I Timothy 5:20 which says "REBUKE" (sin) =  "JUDGE" (righteously=WORD) Say that ONE LIES ALSO! Remember 2 Cor 5:10 "WE MUST ALL STAND BEFORE THE JUDGMENT SEAT OF CHRIST!"

  4. profile image50

Why do you "ask" ALL & delete response if you don't want to hear TRUTH from Scripture?  Is it that Hebrews 4:12 is true which says "For THE WORD OF GOD IS LIVING, AND POWERFUL, AND SHARPER THAN ANY TWO-EDGED SWORD PIERCING EVEN TO THE DIVIDING ASUNDER OF SOUL AND SPIRIT...?"  If then, why don't you "research" why it is so?

Deletion doesn't matter for "Satan has ALREADY been defeated!"  John 12:31 says "Now JUDGMENT of this world; now shall the prince of this world (SATAN) be cast down."  Can't change it!  Can't win!  Already defeated!

    Great picture! Depicts unbelievers!

WE "ALL" MUST STAND BEFORE THE JUDGMENT SEAT OF CHRIST"  and HE DOESN'T FORGET!

(Luke 16:8) Unbelievers APPEAR "..wiser than the sons of light."  Yes, "carnally!"   Let's see who has the last laugh!

Gift of "discernment" is alive & well!
