What will you aim for this next 12 months.
To serve others more?
Be one who is served more?
Another way to put it would be...
Will you give more?
(and I don't just mean money, or "stuff".)
By serving others I will be serving myself.
Does that mean your aim is to be self-serving?
I think that I know what mohit is saying.
When we serve our selves we can accomplish only so much.
And being self serving in nature, there will be no one there to help us when we need it the most.
If we help 10 people when they need it the most, they will succeed. and if only two of those ten people that you have helped are there to help when you need it the most, when all is said and done you will have achieved three time as much for yourself as you would have achieved by yourself.
Therefore the most selfish thing that a person can do is to be unselfish
i am working on giving without expectation of receiving and also taking action while being detached from the results.
I plan to give more. More of my time, concern, more of myself.
I never think about serving or being served.
In your life you do both without thinking.
If you think, then something is very wrong about your perception of life.
..okay..very interesting...what do you mean...because i was thinking...lending a helping hand???
I'm going back to school for my EMT/paramedic certifications. I think that makes it clear enough what I want to do this year.
Well. I'll go ahead and be the voice of dissension here. I've had about enough of giving for the moment, and this year I think I need to go ahead and take. Take time to relax. Take time to think. And take time to center myself.
I don't need anyone else to serve me in order to do it; they just need to stay out of my way.
However, I fully encourage anyone with any positive energy to get out there and share it.
