Spirituality knows no color, no age or socioeconomic boundries. When it is your time, it will come kick you in the face.
Most, if not all, of the people we typically consider as "spiritual" are not known for having lots of money. Jesus, Mother Theresa, the Dali Lama, Buddha, Mohammad, even the Pope, etc. - all were poor in terms of what we consider as "wealth". They were also of various colors and ages.
An exception might be TV evangelists as they are often filthy rich, but not sure I'd consider them as "spiritual".
TV evangelists are in it for THE ATTENTION & ADULATION they receive. TV evangelists know that they are the megastars of the religious scene. To them, religion is a bu$ine$$- BIG BU$INE$$! Religion has been vedy, vedy good to me......God ble$$ America. I am so ble$$ed...……..Bring on those tithes...…..BRING ON THOSE TITHES...…...
they are seizing tithes by the force of their lies, I suppose.
Are they greedy? Are they spiritual? Are they delusional?
If they believe in what they do/say, they are not greedy, they are spiritual and they are not delusional.
... unless they are delusional. I guess they won't be greedy once they realize they're delusional.
and maybe then they can discover what true spirituality is ...
- what is it? something that will kick you in the face?
Huh?
They are EXPLOITIVE...……..They don't believe in the nonsense they are saying...…..They are just USING people......BEGUILING them...….for THEIR CONTROL. Religious leaders have used the gullible, less intelligent, less educated, & less aware for THEIR purposes. It is nothing wrong w/making money-as long it is HONEST. Religious leaders EXPLOIT people e.g. in the Roman Catholic religion, celibate, single clerical hierarchy who are wealthy in the top echelons tell Catholics to have as many children as possible, reducing some of the latter into poverty so that the latter can depend upon them for charity & assistance. The Vatican has an over a billion dollars net worth. The Catholic Church use impoverishment of their congregants to be in......POWER & CONTROL.
Yes, it is something that will kick you in the FACE Kathryn
Of course, spirituality is beyond human boundaries. Spirituality is beyond all constraints. Spirituality just...…………...IS.

Religion is a very personal and controversial issue to tackle. There would be unending discussion because we delve into the core beliefs that an individual live by throughout his life. I was teaching in Suarez High School the new subject Values Education which specialized in Godliness in 1993....
