Saturday is regard by some christian faith as the God given day of worship and rest. How do you respond Thougits though?
Hi Miebakagh,
... and the next day is Sun day.
Now traditionally, Saturn is a planet of hardship and work. So it really depends on how you view the "God given day of worship and rest."
Is it a day of hard work/rest? or relaxation and sunshine?
What would God want for us on that day?
Do those who claim it is Saturday, give a reason?
Or no?
If they cannot provide a (God-given) reason, why even bother with such a debate?
I would say, if you choose one day over the other, that is better than no day at all
And if you choose every day, that is the best option of all!
(That's what I imagine God would say.)
Kathryn, I realise your opinion makes sense. But first forgive me for mis-spelling 'thoughts.' Traditionally likewise, Saturday was named after the planet Saturn, which was later worship as a god. But the original 7th day of worship and rest was basterdized by the first man and woman, Adam and Eve! Now the Creator God, who seems to enjoying some brief rest(we don't know how long in minutes or hour) rise up and began to re-work. This tells us that we can choice to work even on a day of worship.
Logically, after a hard week of work, Saturday is a day of rest and fun. (Forget it was named after Saturn!)
... and Sunday would be a day of worship and rest.
Also is Sunday the first day of the week and Saturday the last day of the week?
Does God want us to worship on the last day or the first day of the week?
Wondering.
To me God want's mankind to worship him every day. Saturday or Sunday can be regard as special days. In other faiths, it can be any day other than the above days.
If we meditate, worship, pray and rest everyday and try to devote ourselves to the light a little longer at some point on the weekends, God would be very happy and not at all disappointed.
But remember, our worship, prayer and meditation benefits us and those in our lives.
After all, God is in heaven and is in a state of perfect bliss at all times.
We do it for the benefit of our own spiritual lives.
As I see it
In your opinion, how is God connected to the Earth?
... well, thats a good question! I think I like it unanswered.
Seriously, a good question should have a good answer. To left the question unanswered is not doing justice to the challenge.

Saturday or Sunday? The bible scriptures are very clear when speaking about the Sabbath, but even so, religions all over the world worship on different days. What day is the day... and why?

Yes!!!!!!!!!! Hebrew 4-1 Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left [us] of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard...
