If God HAD said something about this Lucifer, and wanted to make it clear what he said, and not leave it up to who can best put it together from sorting through translations, he'd put it in one translation and make the Spirit bear witness to it so you know what translation to trust, and make it presently available and not leave it up to symbolic interpretation if he wanted it to be CLEAR AND DEFINITE without room for another meaning.
So, with that approach, with the literal approach to one translation, the king james bible, Lucifer is what they'll call the antichrist when he shows up and reigns and gets cast into the pit. Read Ezekiel 28 closer.
Everyone's denial that he is even literal is setting them up to think nothing of it when he sits on the throne of the world.
Ezekiel says he will want to "sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north" which is a reference to the congregation of Israel, a term used in the bible. The mount is mount Zion, their holy hill, also mentioned in the bible. He'll want to sit atop it when he shows up.
Lucifer has NOT fell from heaven, yet. He's just tempting people into sin and still has access to heaven. The casting down is a future event, when he's cast out of heaven for warring with heaven and the angels before they come to earth to render judgment. Presently he has access to heaven while he tempts people. Remember it saying in Job that he presented himself with the sons of God before God's throne, after already running amock and trying to tempt people to fall, God telling him to try it on Job? My point: he was still frequenting heaven even after becoming God's enemy. The casting down you read about is a future event, if you continue reading scripture.
Of course you can expect a sinner to choose the works of more 'englightened scholastic men' over the literal words of one translation, simply because they do not want God to have SAID anything CLEARLY.
They prefer their own wisdom over God's.
Why don't you write a hub about all this stuff. Forum posts will just get lost. You clearly have a lot you want to say. Fire up your first article.
Forum posts are more easily found than hubs are.
Other people are writing long informative (yet disinformative) forum posts about lucifer, yet I don't see you recommending them to writing hubs. Hmm.

Since I´m not very familiar with the folklore, and there seem to be quite a few ¨experts¨ here, I thought I´d ask.According to the storyline, Lucifer was the ¨highest of the high¨ or something to that effect. So, I guess that at some point, Lucifer must have had a higher ranking than Jesus. Yet,...
