Many people believe that Sunday worship is form God, but there is not one place where God says in the Bible to keep sunday holy. Pastor state "we keep Sunday Holy because Jesus rose from the died on that day, it's a memorial to is resurrection. But, what do Jesus state:"
1 Cor 1-23 For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the [same] night in which he was betrayed took bread:
24 And when he had given thanks, he brake [it], and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.
25 After the same manner also [he took] the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink [it], in remembrance of me.
26For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.
What about Roman 6-5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also [in the likeness] of [his] resurrection:
6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with [him], that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
Friends if you want to have an memorial to Jesus Christ then do what he said take communion, and be baptized. Sunday worship is not of God, it from the Devil.
The day or time of worship is immaterial. The Jews observed the Sabbath, which God had instituted as a day of rest. The early Christians met on Sunday to commemorate the day upon which Jesus rose. Colossians 3:16 says, "Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day."
Our worship is not confined to the Sabbath, or to Sunday, or any specific day. Worship needs to be an ongoing attitude. In worship we become aware of the presence of God, and we express that in gratitude, in exaltation and praise to him.
Friend, I have to gently disagree. Worship of God on Sunday is not something from Satan. Worship of God is pleasing to Him whenever and wherever we may be. Grace and peace to you.
I love that you gave scripture to make your point, but, your focus is off. The Jews was to bring light to the world, but notice what Paul said to them. Acts 13:46 Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles. Everyone should be worshipping God on the Sabbath. God said if a man love me he will keep my commandment John 14:15 Colossians 3:16 number one is quoted wrongs, here is the way it should read; 16Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath [days]: the key is sabbath days. I know you know the the Jews had Sabbath Days
other than The Sabbath Leviticus 23-37These [are] the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim [to be] holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD, a burnt offering, and a meat offering, a sacrifice, and drink offerings, every thing upon his day:
38Beside the sabbaths of the LORD, and beside your gifts, and beside all your vows, and beside all your freewill offerings, which ye give unto the LORD.
Jesus told the disciples at the last supper that "Those twelve" should do this (communion) till he comes again. None of those twelve did not give this as a commandment to anyone else to do this.
To the best of my knowledge; Saul/Paul never commanded the followers of Christ to establish the communion as a ritual either? He did mention visiting a few of the disciples when they were communiing together. Jesus' second coming happened when Jesus said that it would! "THIS generation shall not pass till all these things be fulfilled! He was talking to that generation that stood in front of him!
" some of YOU shall not taste of death till you see me coming in the clouds sitting at the right hand of power."
Get real people !! Prophesy has been being fulfilling itself right before everyones eyes for the last 1900 years.
Worship on any day can not be from the devil in that the devil does not want us to worship God. Now worship is not just for Sunday but every day!
lol
whats that they say about the devil, deception and making man believe he doesn't exist?
what if he manipulated man to believe that he (man) was contacted by GOD...but it was *really* the devil..."a rose by any other name..." after all.
"god" is not "his" name anyways,
and i don't believe that any benevolent god would repeatedly insist (throughout the old testament) on blood sacrifices, period.
but...uh...that sounds kinda satanic.
i know...blasphemous.
but have you christians every considered?
thou shall put no false idol before you.
honestly, if you *really* use the brain and logic "GOD" gave you (why would "he" give this to you, if it only defeats you to ultimately take you to hell??! horrible god, imo) its easy to see the contradictions in the bible which either means: WRONG, manipulated by FALLIBLE man. OOOORRRRR it *could* mean that man was manipulated by malevolent spirits to induce demon worship to unassuming, naive human beings.
Rev you should know better satan do not care if you are worshipping wrong. Be he believe what God said, we done. Why, do you tell people wrong things, do you know the truth or not. You are right you can worship God any day, but, God ask you to worship him on the sabbath, why not do what God ask us to do and trust him.

This is not a discussion about discrediting the existence of God or discrediting the church as an institution of God. This serves to provide clarity on the issue of Sunday worship and it's legitimacy.

Yes!!!!!!!!!! Hebrew 4-1 Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left [us] of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard...
