Is the Devil controlling the world?

   As I read the come backs on this hub, I can only concluded that the Devil is controlling the world, but, God still have his people out there.

      sorta. yeah God allows the devil to go so far.........this is how we have free will......we have temptation and God. We can choose evil or good.  Eventually the fight between good and evil or God and the devil will end.
      When it does this life will be over.......................................and the ones who made it to Heaven will be eternally happy and those who followed evil will be punished ....eternally, for if God is infinite in every way, so is His justice
      
      this is the way I see it.

         Great response, but, punished eternally, do you mean God will let them burn for ever. Is that truly just. God is a God of love, I done want to burn for ever, and how can God be a God of love, if he let me burn forever.

            God is eteranal and infinite. It seems unjust and it's very sad
            but given the many many chances God gives people to follow him
            they say it's hard to go to hell and you really have to want to.

            How can God against Him selves? He is merciful, but the truth is your sin actually burning yourselves, because on earth you make so much deal with the Devil until you have to paid it all. God trying to reach you by the voice within to tell you to repent so many times, but you didn't want to listen to it but keeping doing against His will. So the following years that you ahead to is the path going to Hell. Hell is a place where it is called 'Too Late' and there is no salavation anymore because that place is for destrcution. While on earth human are given chances to repent, and human still have chances to repent and knowing God mercy, and even though you are doing mortal sin like murder ,you still can be save if you repent.

         I think that   to be punished   is a misconception.
         
           Those that choose to not come in out of the weather choose to be cold.  I think our being punished will be self imposed about the same way it is in this life.
         
         No matter how fast we run, when we get to where we are going,  there we are.
            Whatever we are in this life will follow us to wherever we go.
            Or something like that!  Just my thoughts.

      Going by what is written in my bible,  The devil has been given free reign here for just a little while.
      
         Testing the product so-to-speak
         That which is strong enough to climb out of the barrel does, that which isn't doesn't.
      
         Only the fastest horses get to run at the Kentucky Derby.
      Are the rest being punished by not getting to run there?
      
         Only the best apples are sold in market the rest go to a processing plant.
         I'll probably be apple butter.

      On my theological knowledge as far as I read and understand the Bible, the world is been controlled by the Devil, where when the first of the sin history enter the world, the Devil and his kingdom has take over to conquer the soul of the human.They try hard to make them astray from God, because of their envious for God's universal and infinite creation.
      
      The angel Lucifer who dismissed from Heaven because of his jealousy over God  wanted to become god, but his temptation is against the goodness, so God punish him and sent to earth. Lucifer is so hate toward God and get revenge to astray His most wonderful creation-human- until the end time
      
      God's people have been selected before the world created. Their names has been written in the Book of Life. This people will reign with Him in the ' New Jerusalem' in the wedding of the Lamb of God

      There is no devil and this is not a hub.
      Milk does not grow on trees and there are no fairies at the bottom of the garden, superman is not real, nor is the easter bunny.

      haj, looking at it in pure spirit outlook, probly so, but there is a real human side to it also. I would say it is more of a Psych thing, human thing than total spirit. But I see where you are coming from here.
      
      The outlook at times can seem that way to a believer.

   No the Devil is not controlling this world. The Earth is the Lord's and eveything in it, he is soverign and His will is done.
   
   Isaiah 45:7 I form the light and create darkness; I make peace and create evil; I am the Lord that doeth all these things.
   
   Search out all instances of the Devil in the OT and he is tiny tiny tiny with no capacity to act on his own and is entirely at the control of God. The OT contains no demons, devils or evil spirits. There is no Lucifer, it's a Canaanite myth. The serpent in Eden is much more likely to be the yezer hara and Eve was having an internal conflict between right and wrong.
