An idea came to me, how about a thread where people can post their favorite Bible verses and give the reason why it is important to them. Does the verse give you comfort, hope, joy, courage, peacs, understanding, or whatever it means to you. Please share the word with us.

"I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me."-Philippians 4:13.

The above verse has helped me believe in myself that I can do anything with His guidance and help.  It keeps me going especially when the "going gets tough.":-)

For me it is the foolish of mankind, the wars, the hatred, the envy, the greed. Hope provides a future where these attritudes will no longer remain and peace will come at last.

                Revelation 21:4

    New Living Translation (©2007)

He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever."

Yes habee, me also. What a sacrifise, what  a love God has for us

Span Star, yes that will be wonderful but until then there is work to be done because of the things you mentioned above.

God bless you both, Troy C.

Galatians 2:16 .. Yet we know that a person is made right with God by faith in Jesus Christ, not by obeying the law. And we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we might be made right with God because of our faith in Christ, not because we have obeyed the law. For no one will ever be made right with God by obeying the law.”

Whew!  Can you imagine if we had to do works, how many more works would have been added to the OT laws to be kept, in today's society, by man?  It would be an endless barrage of laws to be kept.  Imagine the judgment and the disapproval we would encounter on a moment by moment basis, and the despair we would carry.  Our self-esteem would be beat to a pulp.  And then we would have done all that .. Only to find out that none of it mattered or impressed God anyway.

This is one of my favorite bible verse. He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. (Psalms 91) I feel comfort, peace, Joy, and the safety of God's protection covering me.

So true WOC.  We are called to His works and His works only.

Galatians 3 28. I think this one best exemplifies how we should view all who believe.
