"It's liberals who are in favor of violence and death.  The younger the better."

You are mixing religion with politics which is like mixing oil and water. they don't go together.

She's speaking of abortion when she says "the younger the better".

I agree that it was too inclusive and was in bad taste.  I also believe the OP here was in bad taste.  I also believe the answers to be in worse taste.  The questions I asked were not answered then someone started talking about conservatives, which have nothing at all to do with the OP.

They have EVERYTHING to do with it.

Conservatives are for gun rights, but not for abortion rights.

                    What is the difference?

And don't give me that crap about guns not killing. If you shoot somebody with a gun---they DIE.

                    So, what is the difference?

I have a few question.  Are liberals in favor of abortion?  If so, are the abortions violent to the fetus?

If both answers are true, then what is wrong with her speaking truth?  Would you rather she lie?

But - isn't Jesus coming back any minute? Surely he will sort it out? Why do you feel the need to Cast The Lord's Judgment?

Is it becoz ur back is a painin' yer?

Sir dent if this statement was made it is an affront to good taste. To attempt to justify it is just as bad.

Are guns violent if used to shoot someone? You demand the right to kill, don't you?

Guns are not violent any more than a knife is violent.  A fighter plane is not violent.  People are violent.  They are the ones who kill, steal and destroy.

I also notice you did not answer my questions.

This type of thing makes me uncomfortable. No names, no proof, nothing but the above statement. It seems somewhat like vicious gossip without more than this.

You're not one of those 'if you don't have something good to say about someone, come sit by me' types by any chance?

It is a statement made by someone in another post. I saw it and thought pretty much the same as lovemychris did.

        Yes, I'm sorry---I didn't understand!!

yes--it was said by another hubber in another thread, and it made me so angry, I had to ask.

See, the thing is, they DO mix religion and politics, and they think THEIR religion trumps all.

Not to mention, they always bleat on about "freedom" this and that...freedom to own guns, freedom to pay what wages they want, freedom to pay no taxes, freedom to wage war, etc. But when we say "what about freedom over my own life and body? Freedom to love who I love openly?"...

Then the steel claw comes around the neck...the iron boot comes down. In the name of Love. It's anything but love, IMO.

And you demand to tell me what to do with my life. And you demand that poor children have services cut from them.

It's conservatives who are in favor of letting children starve to death. And have no healthcare. And sleep in the streets.

    How does that sound?

  4. lovemychris profile image74
    lovemychrisposted 12 years ago

btw-- I said "people on your side", didn't mean you personally. You are not nasty like them.
Sorry if it came out rough. You have no idea how angry that person made me with that superiority and smugness.

What happens when the "argument" gets flipped around to the other side?
"Conservatives believe life begins at conception and ends at birth."
I heard that quote on a TV news talk show the other night.

Why oh why is there SO much emphasis on a medical procedure that has been legal in the US for 30 years? Of all the issues American citizens (and government) are grappling with, why is this still in play?

Somebody somewhere...I WISH I could remember... wrote an article and her thesis was that this is all a war on women...the draconian abortion laws, the cutting of social programs, even the union-busting. She said it all added up to a war on women.

And, to me--on an esoteric level, it makes a lot of sense. Not going into it, because it has to do with astrology.

But just say that the feminine is coming back, and the masculine doesn't like it!

OR--you could look at it like the two sides of the brain...one is very analytical and common sense, the other is intuitive and "extra" sense.
    Extra sense is taking over.

All I know is I read a saying once, "Everything fights to survive".
This warring psyche is not going to go down easy. And
I think all this ugly hate towards women is the Last Gasp of power for the masculine eon. Esoterically speaking smile
That is how I see it.
