Why are we here?
Argueing aBout-it?
Why do we argue about it when we know that we are only half right? !!
"IF" .... we were convinced about that we say we think? was right.... we would-A got tired of trying to convince others ABout-it a long time A-GO
ARE WE realy as sure as we think we are?
After ALL Half right is good enough HUuuuuh
Half-right just isn't good enough when it comes to serious stuff.
Yes I'm as sure as I think I am about those things.
Hi Jerami. I'm pretty sleepy, reason that may sound abrupt. I'm just convinced totally. I gave up being lukewarm a long time ago after I saw its consequences.
Well, IF I know Jerami like I think I know him, he's talkin' about those deep subjects like Faith, religion, and other life-or-death issues.
But then, I could be half-right about that......
Just trying to make somebody think about the simple stuff .. like what you said.
Here is something simple, if you believe, great. You don't have to bash it over anybodies head. If you don't believe, great. You don't have to bash it over anybodies head. Thats pretty simple, isn't it?
I apologize; .... didn't see YA way over there! If I got some on YA I'll try not to do it any more.
Simple but rather selfish.
Who, after finding the Truth, wants to keep it to themselves, sharing with nobody?
That isn't the problem, share implies its a wanted commodity. When its not wanted let it go.
No offense, but it isn't you who gets to determine for somebody else. When they are ready to believe they will.
I'm not so sure about that...
God repeated lots of things time after time to His children, and to everyone, actually. We humans are prone to stubbornness and not hearing things the first time around. If He sees the worth in reminders and exhortation, there must BE worth in it.
I seem to recall some history about this sort of thing, it was called the inquisition. Trust me making somebody listen when they don't want to isn't going to work.
I repeat.......
haha I'm trying to be funny right now. I'm fighting sleep 'cause I wanna stay up, but the plumber's coming in the morning so I know I should turn in for the night, but.......oh man, I'm so pressured! haha just kidding. I'll just miss getting to sleep in and my morning walk with my neighbor/friend.
If You don't want to believe it .... then you aint ready to believe it yet .... so don't pick it up ????????????
That would be a good thing! Specially if Ya goina throw it streight up in the air when You do pick it up.
Goina just fall back on your head AGAIN when YA throw it streight UP>
AND I feel good enough to be here or a little while SSsoooo I can be here for a while.
Well .... good for you and bless ya too !
I mean it!!!!!
But I do think everbody aught to ask themselves ????
hello Jerami. you are half right. if you believe strongly enough that what you believe is the truth...then you should not have to argue about it...because arguing usually means you are defending...and where belief goes, if you feel defensive about it you must not believe completely that you are right.
the half you are wrong about is like Brenda says...when something is as serious as the future of your soul...and obedience to GOD...half measures dont cut it.
i dont like getting into arguments where my beliefs are concerned because i fully believe i am right and i also believe if someone wants to argue with me about it they have no desire to learn so continuing is pointless, though sometimes i am dragged into an argument and when i find myself thus i will quit, even if it makes me look like the loser. people will believe what they choose to...and people who have strong convictions, whether for GOD or against HIM...are rarely persuaded to change them. This is why no one can come to JESUS without GOD having called them. and still not all who are called accept.
So if everywhere you post Brenda, I follow you quoting Matthew 7:3... am I doing God's work? If so then:
And why behold you the mote that is in your brother's eye, but consider not the beam that is in your own eye?
Don't wanna do it .... but goina have to lay down in a little bit.
If anybody wants to keep it simple? there is a good answer avaliable.
You know why we argue jerami? Because some people are arrogant enough to not be able to see past the nose on their faces. They think they know it all. They think they have the truth, but you are right. No one knows everything.
I personally believe that everyone is about 50% correct in their beliefs.
I Believe much of what everyone on these forums are saying to be true.
I guess this is true concerning religion as well.
I don't know if all/any "Religion" is inspired by God or not.
I am sure that mankind has been running the show for a long long time ; (where religion is concerned)
I think that we all know that we don't know it all, and we are looking for more ... We do learn a lot from each other in situations where we discuss different beliefs whether e realize this or not.
i think this is why some of us argue?

Why would god create atheists who can't be convinced of his existence?

Why are people so convinced and dedicated to deceptions and lies?Is it because they are scared of reality? Is it because their education is based on deceptions and lies? Now that fool changed the date for the end of the world to October and people still believe him.

Can anyone really argue against a faith based belief?A good friend of mine was just trying to dissuade me from my beliefs. And he was quite good and convincing. But alas we agreed that if my beliefs were founded in my faith then arguing was pointless and that it was just the way it is. And likewise...

Why is it that Christians believe that Buddhists, Hindus, Pagans, Native Americans, etc. are all wrong in their beliefs and that they'll all go somewhere horrible when they die? Why can't we just accept that other people have different lives and different experiences, and let them believe how they...

Why do some people love to shove their ideas and beliefs down other people's throats? You know, there are certain people with certain beliefs. They believe that only their idea is right and nothing else is. If you don't believe them for whatever reason, they call you names -- ignorant, moron, yada,...
