I just heard this on the radio and wanted to know what you thought about this.
I think my husband prays everyday that our daughter will be a lesbian.
Seriously, I wouldn't pray that my children be either gay or straight. I don't really pray for anything to do with their sexuality. I do hope that they will be happy in whatever relationship that they end up in and that their partner loves them.
I honestly don't care about the specifics of that relationship.
It made me wonder why a parent would not pray for much deeper things like inner strength and courage etc. How would ones sexual preference help in the trials we might encounter in life.
Maybe I am missing something?
Maybe for the attention?
I can't imagine her stating wanting her child to be anything else would cause people to react so much. I wonder why that is?
Maybe she read the comment I saw on Hub Pages forums a while back and took it to heart. Someone claimed gays were the best and the brightest in every field of endeavor. Everyone wants the best for their kids.
