Brigham Young also stated in 1870 in the Journal of Discourses Vol. 13 PG 271, That the sun was also inhabited.

Young Women Journal Vol. 3 PG 263-264, Joseph Smith Described, “the inhabitants of the moon as being about six-foot tall, dressed like Quakers, and living to be about 1000 Years Old.

Young Woman's Journal was an official publication of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints between 1897 and 1929. It was an official periodical of the Young Ladies' Mutual Improvement Association, then the LDS Church's organization for adolescent females.

Young Woman's Journal was founded in 1889 by Susa Young Gates, a volunteer worker within the YLMIA.

      Mormonism is not Christianity.

It is as Christian as Islam. Just another perversion.

Pretty simple to see when you read thier texts.

I had never heard those before you posted them on here. The LDS church does not teach that as doctrine. As for the actual content of the post? It may seem a little far-fetched to think of people living on the moon and sun, but I am not going to say yay or nay in this life. It is something that is irrelevant to my life and thus not something of which I need to concern myself regarding the truth.

You know angelrose I am sorry if i am shoving this down your throat. You have great faith.
But in my case I was just like you. Willing to accepted and believe whatever Joseph Smith said. Whatever any prophet said, no questions asked. I remember asking question about the faith and getting responses like "you just have to have faith" or " you’re not ready to understand that" and "your doubting the faith, get a testimony of Joseph Smith".
They just wanted to tell me what to believe, with no questions asked.

I thought it was irrelevant for a while. But when I started thinking that the man that started it all, who said that he received revelations from God directly. Then prophecies that People live on the moon. You have to look into it.

Well, sorry but I'm going to believe what my church teaches me because I have received testimony of it and seen the truthfulness of the gospel for myself. You have every right to believe as you wish to, but I will believe the things I have discovered for myself.
"The ends of the earth shall inquire after thy name, and fools shall have thee in derision, and hell shall rage against thee; While the pure in heart, and the wise, and the noble, and the virtuous, shall seek counsel, and authority, and blessings constantly from under thy hand." Doctrine and Covenants 122:1-2. My favorite section in Doctrine and Covenants. Looking around, I can see that it is true.
Thank you for strengthening my testimony. smile

That sound alot like Revelation 13. When satan comes with his new doctrine, his better way to salvation. He will tell the people to only seek his counsel, his authority to fly blindly into to his arms.
Look around, i see that it is true.
Thank you for showing us all this.
Good luck. see you around the hub.

Now you're misreading it. It doesn't say ONLY seek counsel from him, it just says they shall seek counsel. It's kind of like when I ask my mom for advice. That's not against Revelation.
Seems to me like you're either misunderstanding or purposely not trying to learn. Either way, that's your deal.

I have never yet preached a sermon and sent it out to the children of men, that they may not call Scripture. Let me have the privilege of correcting a sermon, and it is as good Scripture as they deserve. The people have the oracles of God continually." (Journal of Discourses, vol. 13, p. 95)

The Second President of the LDS church said that what i shared above is doctrine. I guess the church just changed their minds.

I am not picking on the people, i was raised Mormon and my parent are still Mormons. what I am sharing is the every changing doctrine of the LDS.

Hebrews 13:9 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
He did not change when people were about to kill him. The LDS gets criticizes or sued and they change their beliefs the next day. then they call it modern revelation. I call it conforming to the world.

Catch up with today and do what good you can in the world.  It is true that church authorities once insisted that the world is flat, and that the sun orbits the earth.  You are beating a dead horse, when there is so much good you could be doing.

21 Have ye not known? have ye not heard? hath it not been told you from the beginning? have ye not understood from the foundations of the earth?

22 It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:

It is relevant because the man that started the LDS faith said it and said he received this knowledge from God. Now we know that no one lives on the moon.
So we see that he is a liar. If he lied about this he could have been lying about everything he ever said and wrote. (THE LDS FAITH)
This is very relevant for today.

John Smith is a fraud and all those who believe in him have been lied to, find the truth and understand that it is to much to accept for others. All our lives are lies and we must seek the truth and no matter how deceived we our we will make the truth known. They will continue to lie and expect us to give up on them. In truth a great knowledge of what is the truth is coming and we must be prepared for that truth. They will kill us and do anything to stop this truth from being known.

What do people get out of these threads?  I am not LDS, and I really do not care if people want to preach it either.  Actually, I am always honest with someone if they approach me wanting to preach, and I tell them no thanks.  There are many religions in the US, and around the world, that have wacky noodle doctrines.  Mostly I am just not big on organized religion because I like to think for myself.  However, if people enjoy belonging to a group and preaching, I suppose that is how they want to spend their time.  To each his own.
