This country is pure ego and we live in our heads. Who thinks it's time to let go?
Our selve's. We cling to so many concepts and it only separates us from the rest of humanity. It's the whole big brother thing and it's gone to our heads.
Whatever it is you are advocating "we" let go of would have to be done at once, and on masse.
Otherwise, there will be total confusion. I believe, anarchy is the right word.
Let's each one live as he pleases. Pretends to be (their own ) god.
Society would collapse overnight. (IMHO)
Perhaps mass collapse is necessary in order to function as a whole. We honestly need to stop worshiping people and act as ourselve's for a while. Pure entertainment of the senses is destroying us as a people.
"We" need to realize that we are all Sovereign individuals and are responsible for our own knowledge. The highest authority on the planet is the individual, anything done to the individual without their consent is illegal! That is not to say we can break common law, we do not as individuals fall under corporate/maritime jurisdiction.
We are under the control of media and what is fashionable. We idolize people that could care less about us and it is almost making us a retarded people.
No, though I do see it as a great majority. What to eat, what to buy, who to follow, where to be and the list goes on and on, ad-nausium.
I for one would appreciate you not use the word "We"
It is we the people, is it not? The government and the ruling power that is business, is doing everything they can to keep us as malleable as possible. Spend money or you're not American. That's the way I see it anyhow.
The Americans Rulers are locked in their ambitious perceptions.
Exactly, money and power are all they see. Even Henry the VIII was just at one point, but as the saying goes "Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely".
You need to learn your role in society, as a part of the whole and what exactly is your business and what isn't. You standing on a soapbox, claiming "we" and then form generalized BS statement to reinforce your irrational train of thought, isn't going to do any good whatsoever.
Well, this statement definitely has you living up to the name you've chosen as a member of HubPages.
This country lives and dies by the Economy. It's unfortunate you lack the understanding of it, considering life in and of itself is an illusion. The more you talk, the worse you make yourself appear. Meaning, incoherent.
If that's how you "see" it, then take your head out of the sand, clean out your ears and just maybe you might learn something.
I see business as necessary, for it is an ecconomic society in which we live. Though there are many businesses, which I find fully unecessary. Why is someone that does nothing but collect money more important than everyone else? They live like kings and everyone else is a pariah. I come from money and I want nothing to do with monetary wealth, I feel richer without it.
What businesses exist isn't your business. Which means your irrational opinion is negated and meaningless. It is nobody's business to decide who can go into what business.
They're not. It's only an appearance.
Many do and many suffer. It's part and parcel of the willful ignorance plaguing America.
Good for you. Too bad you don't understand money. What a shame. You come from money and want nothing to do with, but fail to see the good you could do with what you walked away from. Sad really.
I gave my inheretance to a hospice charity and turned my back on having too much of it. I know I need money, I just don't feel I need all that much more than is necessary for survival.
That may very well be the way YOU see it happening to YOU, but that doesn't mean the rest of us agree with your synopsis.
And that's what I've saying all along. What I think is not necessarily what is. It's just a personal perspective and realy doesn't mean anything.
I agree with you.
America being No.1 power in the world enjoys authority but it does not share the responsibility it owes towards humanity at large.
Maybe I like to talk to others. Is that not why we communalize? I speek my mind and while it is not up to your standards, it is my mind.
That's spelled 'speak'.
Now we're getting somewhere:
'I speek my mind and while it is not up to your standards, it is my mind.'
You advise everyone to let go of their ego etc, but you can't seem to let go of yours.
Whatever. the meaning is loud and clear. Why do I bother you so? Can I be of any help to you? What is eating at you so, that you want to pick me apart?
But don't worry, I won't bother you anymore. I hope you do me the same favor.
You are so correct. So many revolve their lives over the commercial picture of health we should look like. What politician we should follow. Every aspect of life is covered to enable the follow to follow the message way. People need to stop living in the visions of others and start thinking for themselves. Come to our own conclusions and act on that, not someone else's idea and values.

James Madison, in formulating ideas about the role of the federal government prior to the Constitutional Convention came up with the notion that to best protect minorities (not just race) and individuals from the vagaries of state legislatures believed it was necessary for the Federal Legislature...

How did we let our government get so powerful and conniving that...they would blast a hole in the moon and most of us only found out about it when it was about to happen or already happened? Who are they to make that kind of choices for everyone?
