Most of the religions say that sex is a sin. If that is true, should we think that the population of our world is the fruit of this sin committed by people?
Will you stop using the big ugly red question mark? Its really annoying.
Actually, not all religions look at it this way. In Judaism, for example, sex is a seen as natural and as a mitzvah (good deed). Of course, there are official restrictions (i.e., it's supposed to be done only in marriage and at certain times), but in general the view of sex is much more positive than in other religions.
I think the idea of sin is a way for religion to control people. If people are all born sinners, then they have to work really hard to get salvation. Too bad, I think if it was assumed that people were good, more of them would be.
Which 'religions' are we talking about, if you'd care to clarify?
It's not sex itself that is the sin, it's the unauthroized, unapproved version of it that is considered sinful by most churches. You know, sex for pleasure, sex for sale, sex before marriage, sex outside marriage, sex with same-sex partners, sex with yourself, any kind of sex that doesn't happen within a marriage to produce children. And actually, I think it's the Shakers who disapproved even of that.
Sex is a sin for only the gullible who believe in religion's dogma. Otherwise, NO!
Sex is a dirty abomination of vulgarity and indecency...
IF it is done right
Well they say that the best contraceptive is a wedding cake.
How else were we supposed to multiply? Did God mean we were supposed to sit around all day and do math problems? Jesus said " Don't say something is bad if it has been OK'd by the head office!" Paraphrasing of course.
Well I supose doing math is one way to multiply, but having sex while eating cake sounds like much more fun and probably produces a better product.
And here I thought it was the actual bill for the wedding.
I might consider converting to Wicca in order to worship the vagina. But over multipling more babies for an over populated world is almost a sin

As a Christian married man is it a sin to lust in my heart for my wife?On occasion I um pleasure myself thinking about her. I was wondering though. Am I committing a sin for lusting after her? It doesn't feel like it's wrong but I was wondering what my brothers and sisters in Christ might say.

I was reading something I thought was going to be funny and adorable but it ended up being an anti-religous hate article with anti-religious comments to boot. Someone in the comments posted, "Don't save yourself until after marriage to have sex. What if you're not sexually compatible...

I am a young adult and am disheartened to see so many of my generation engage in pre-marital sex, especially Christians. It has become so rampant that people disregard that aspect of the religion as if it were not important. When one is a Christian, he or she should be a Christian in...

Do you think God cares if you have sex outside of marriage? Yes or no and why?The reason I ask is because it is clearly stated in the Bible that sex outside of marriage is wrong, but today it's twisted by those who claim God wants us to be fruitful and multiply so sex is not a sin or that...
