Football Hubbers Network

Updated on November 20, 2012

ARE YOU A KEEN FOOTBALL BLOGGER? IF SO LEAVE A COMMENT BELOW, HIT THE 'END' KEY ON YOUR KEYBOARD TO BE INSTANTLY TAKEN TO THE COMMENTS SECTION

I think it would be a good idea to link and network all the key contributors of Football Hubs and create a more rounded view.

Those interested in forming a Mutually beneficial network of writers, who share each others hubs via Hubpages, Twitter and Facebook.

by Sharing each others hubs, we can ensure we extend their reach, currently we are making the snow shake, work together and we can make avalanches. The hardest part of any hubs progress is the first stage the more hits, likes and shares it gets, the more viral it becomes and its reach hits a multiplier effect each time.

Imagine we have several writers each sharing the same hub at the same time, focusing on 1 hub from each member a day, or the most relevant hub of the day that readers will find useful, we can then ensure it gets the initial spark it needs to start becoming viral (Its like jump starting a car by getting people to push it until you can get the engine going and it can become self sufficient) Hubs need the exact same help.

Any orchestrated hub promoting will be done through here and will only be done for relevant hubs that will be of benefit to potential readers.

I actually enjoy reading some other Football bloggers hub's too, so by having a network, i can quickly connect with people who are interested in the same things, without having to trawl high and low for them.

The Euro 2012 coverage was a success, with several users of the Network covering all Post match and Pre match analysis and tournament and Football musings in general.

ANYBODY INTERESTED IN THE NETWORK, COMMENT BELOW, NEW MEMBERS ALWAYS WELCOME.

This is the member list so far;

Tip: The best method to add people is;

Right click the links to each profile below

Select 'Open in new tab'

Go down the list opening new several new tabs for each you want to add

Then click each tab and click the green follow button

Close the tab entirely, no need to individually X the added confirmation window.

HOW DO I SHARE via HUBPAGES

HOW DO I SHARE via FACEBOOK AND TWITTER?

EARN MONEY BY SHARING HUBS

The Benefit of Sharing Hubs

The Benefits of sharing are felt by BOTH the sharer and the person whose hub is being shared. Sharing the hubs of others will increase the traffic to your own page in addition to getting you 10% of the views from that page. Sharing can also be a quid pro pro situation, a share is likely to result in a Share back, Hubpages is all about the karma.

Here is a Hub which demonstrates the benefits 1 Hubber experienced from Sharing

http://jainismus.hubpages.com/hub/How-Traffic-to-My-Hubs-Boosted-by-Sharing-Hubs-of-Other-Writers

http://zsobig.hubpages.com/_kw4v2p8x2gse/hub/ways-how-you-can-support-your-favourite-hubbers

Below are stats from a hub of mine which was shared by Internpete, the traffic shows that he brought in a minimum of 50 viewers to my Hub, with his share alone. Sharing is just one simple click of a button and say if 10 people shared it, that'd be 500 views instantly. If we do this for each other, we can almost guarantee our new hubs get 500+ views from each other alone.

Pete had around 150 Hubpages followers around the point of this share, if Pete had 300 Hubpages followers, then it is likely that he will have brought 100 people to my page, the more followers you have, the greater an audience you have to click on your own hubs and the ones which you share...

THEREFORE MORE FOLLOWERS = MORE PEOPLE READING YOUR HUB WHICH YOU MAY HAVE PUT SOME HARD JOURNALISTIC WORK AND RESEARCH WRITING AND ALSO MORE MONEY VIA THE EARNING SCHEME ON HUBPAGES

WAYS TO INCREASE YOUR AUDIENCE/FOLLOWING

1. Add people with similar interests on Hubpages

2. Add people on Twitter with similar interests

3. Add people on Google+ with similar interests

4. Pin your articles to PinInterest using the button at the side of the page (You may need to make an account)

5. Share your hubs to your friends on Facebook

6. Share your hubs to groups on Facebook that have a similar interest to yours / Create your own group on Facebook

The Effect of Sharing (Petes Share)

How to get 200 Twitter followers in 10 minutes

on Twitter if you search for something; i searched for "MUFC" or "Manchester United" and then click 'People' in the top left, it will then display all the people who have MUFC in their profile and you dont have to click their profile first to get the follow button, the follow buttons are all in blue down the right, this way you can mass add hundreds of people in minutes, just go down the list adding people with simillar interests, added like 1000 in 10 mins work and then a certain percentage of them follow you back, definetly worth doing to build an audience.

Effectiveness of Google+ Shares

How to Build a Google+ Following

Google+ Explained

Ok so lets imagine i write a hub about Chelsea FC, i'm gonna want to share it with as many Chelsea FC Supporters are possible, these are the people inparticular, who will appreciate the Hub.

To do this, type in 'Chelsea FC' or 'A Chelsea players name' and it will bring up any article or status about Chelsea FC. On some of the articles, you will find comments from other Google+ users, you can generally assume that 90% of the commenters will support Chelsea FC themselves, therefore all you need to do is;

1. Hover over their username on the comment or like

2. Select Add

3. Then decide which group of your contacts you want to put them in (this is called circles). I custom made my circles to separate between Club Supporters.

Now any Status or Hub that you share, will automatically get sent to the members within your circle and their newsfeeds and the feeds of anyone who searches for the term Chelsea etc. This way it is quite possible to get around 1000 people in your circle, to share your hubs with.

DONT FORGET TO PLACE AD's ON YOUR HUBS

If it is appropriate, make sure to put EBAY and Amazon capsules on your hubs. I've witnessed greater success from the EBAY hub but i think there is potentially a greater income to be earned from Amazon but hard to earn with it, so that is reall your preference.

I have 100,000+ Page views, but only began to start placing ebay capsules in the few thousands hits since and have been making $1 a day just from the ebay capsules from 1-2k page views a day, i hate to think what i could have gotten from the 100,000k without ebay capsules.

Referral Trackers

These are a small piece of code thats placed into your links, which can then be used to identify where traffic has come from, it is a great way to measure the effectivity of shares. They will also ensure that you get your share of the impressions on that Hub.

You get money when people click on your ad's from Ebay/Amazon/Hubpages or Google Ads. So its very nice when somebody clicks on your ad's ;)

      I personally haven't found sharing on facebook to be effective, but if you find a good group let me know! Unrelated, has anyone used SportLobster to promote their hubs? Does it work? I've heard mixed reviews about sharing hubs on the site and wanted to know your opinions.

      That is a great start! To be honest I only averaged 50-70 views on my first hubs. If you belong to Google Plus I would definitely recommend sharing your hubs in the communities there.

      I have written 5 hubs during the last month and have gotten around 500 views (100 per hub) so is that a good start? And also any ideas on how to improve traffic?

    • muzzster profile image

      Muzzammil Maniar 3 years ago from Karachi, Pakistan

      Well, i have written only 5 hubs till now. I did apply for adsense but got rejected, read somewhere that your first hub should be at least 6 months old before you can start earning and you should have at least 10-20 high quality hubs to increase your chances of being accepted. I havent been getting that much time to write, i will look to add to them hopefully when my semester ends in December.

      not automatically, but yeah the chances are that the interest for it will be so low once the tournament has ended that it will get so little page views, that Hubpages will place it into inactivity, which means it won't be listed anymore in search results etc, infact possibly only you can see it, neither method is better than the other really, writing about current affairs can have massive spikes of initial views which justify the hubs creation, or alternatively you can write a non current topic hub which only gets moderate views but over a longer sustained period, they both add up to the same thing eventually, potentially in enough time the non current topical hubs very may well prove to be better

    • muzzster profile image

      Muzzammil Maniar 3 years ago from Karachi, Pakistan

      oh, i didn't know that. Like if a write a hub about the 2014 world cup then it will automatically get deleted after the tournament has finished? If it is, then it sucks really.

      Yeah it will come, as a indication of what you can expect, during the Euro 2012 competition i was getting 2000-4000 views per day whilst actively writing and sharing but since i have become relatively inactive it leveled out to 500 views per day and now 250 views a day, now that i only publish a hub once every few months, but its really good to get such views without even making effort, once your hubs are there they will just keep ticking over by themselves racking up views, however this does depend on the expiry date of your hubs, by that i mean whether the subject matter has 1 day/10 days/ 100 day / 1000 day / or best of all timeless, in that they will always be relevant

    • muzzster profile image

      Muzzammil Maniar 3 years ago from Karachi, Pakistan

      Yes. i read up on this and many people said that you have to publish around 10-20 hubs before you apply. I have been posting on google+ and have been getting a good amount of traffic from there are, partly due to you sharing it also (thanks for that). But for only 4 hubs, 300 page views is decent enough i guess. Guess i'll really see some traffic after a few months have gone by. Thanks for the help.

      The hubs you've done so far are great quality, i don't see that being an issue, it does tend to be quite slow at first though, in terms of getting views per day, i'd say yours is probably fairly normal, it takes time, add as many people interested in Football as you can on Here, then your hubs will automatically display on their hubpages newsfeeds and to give yourself extra help add people or post in communities on Google+, i may be wrong but it may also take time for Google to start respecting your pages, they will then start to become higher ranked in the search results.

    • internpete profile image

      Peter V 3 years ago from At the Beach in Florida

      Not many views when I first started, maybe 10-20 a day from 1-2 of my better hubs. It mostly depends on what you write about though. If you can find a topic with no competition and high traffic, you will get traffic. The longer you are on here, the more you learn, and the better your articles will usually do. Be sure to be adding/following people and interacting.

      @ Richard-Murray

      I think this season is going to be much more interesting than last season, with many teams having strengthened during the summer. I don't think the top 7 teams will have it all their way. The title race might well go to the last game of the season with the top 5 teams separated by just a few points.

    • profile image

      Richard-Murray 3 years ago

      @Internpete

      luckily our current schedule will prove whether it will be by next week. If we lose any points before spurs in all competitions then you can say Mourinho wasnt able to get the team settled in time

      @CCahill

      I do, Eto'o is a team leader and he knows about defending as well as attack. People forget that eto'o in Mourinho's Inter was fabulous defensively. Mourinho wants someone who is more defensively secure and he provides that over torres and ba.

      I know it seems retarded but I see this as Chelsea changing the definition of the modern club. More money, deeper teams, and to keep them happy, they will have to play in league. It seems risky and it is , but Mourinho will work hard to make it work.

      @NLazar

      No, Chelsea have a plan for the future and Lukaku though in my view ready, will not be hurt by a loan move to Everton. I am certain Chelsea can't lose Lukaku or Moses contractually, to let them be loaned for a year to local rivals.

      You must realize this is the last year for torres, and ba. This may even be the last half season for Ba if he gets a deal. Next season Lukaku and Eto'o will be in.

      Lukaku is a monster! sending him on loan to a club that very well may challenge you for a european place this season is absolutely retarded

      If we kept Lukaku I would understand the Eto'o purchase, but since we lost him to a silly loan I have no idea why we signed him. I wish Chelsea would pick a plan for the future and stick with it. We had a good one with AVB/RDM but I feel we've thrown all that out the window recently.

      Yeah, it would seem like Chelsea spent too much money, and brought in too many players and it is making them not work well together. I am sure it is a matter of time before they are settled, but will it be next week? Or next month? Or even next year.

    • profile image

      Richard-Murray 3 years ago

      @Internpete

      you know very well, the amount of money spent and having the right balance are two different things and if anything, the top money clubs tend to do too much spending. Real would have three more UEFA CL's if that was the case. My Kings of London with Fernando Torres, Real Madrid on countless occasions, including the recent sale of Ozil to the goobers. The cohesiveness lacked in my view for a simpler reason, chelsea made late transfers, which i never like and with heavy international duty, before a match against defensively strong Everton, even with thier slight passing retool under Martinez, it was a recipe for difficulty that we couldn't overcome. Chelsea earned a slow start when we used lukaku for most of the summer than loan him to Everton. I would have liked Eto'o and Willian at the beginning of training camp. And, Chelsea is a very big team, we loaned out players that will get serious playing time for other clubs. Mourinho's goal is to make the right switches and it will take time to get the groove, but we shall see if he will.

      Man City did a big coaching change. I like pelligrini, but the EPL isnt la liga. and Mancini and Pelligrini are two different kinds of coaches. Pelligrini wants to turn Man City into a faster far more offensively loaded team but they spent a lot of time against that. It will take a while for the changeover to occur. In some ways, ManC maybe should have done a huge roster change for pelligrini over the summer.

      I watched Valencia play for Ecuador. He is a strong player but i think he lacks that defense stability for me. Just like Dani Alves and Marcelo. to many wide backs are really wide midfielders that start deeper. I like Jones, but he to me would be better as an midfield enforcer, especially the way he plays. Well, it will not be too hard. The top seven clubs in the EPL will decide their place based on each other and the manchester derby is second. the north london derby already has arsenal grabbing a point. The top seven clubs should dispatch the remaining 13 easily enough, outside of injury bugs and some random coach change.

    • internpete profile image

      Peter V 3 years ago from At the Beach in Florida

      Everton passed well and held the ball against a Chelsea team who should have scored lots of goals with the money/talent available. But they were unable to score, even with Everton making mistakes. We will have to wait and see how the season progresses, but Chelsea were lacking, and may continue to lack cohesiveness as long as their coach keeps juggling players. Man City is another top team that is not starting the season convincingly. I think things will stay pretty close, and it will be a matter of teams figuring things out sooner or later.

      CL will be exciting, a little hard to tell who the favorites are, the season is still early for everyone. I am looking forward to seeing how the group with Dortmund, Arsenal and Napoli do, will it be a big disappointment if Arsenal do not make it out of the group stage?

    • muzzster profile image

      Muzzammil Maniar 3 years ago from Karachi, Pakistan

      @Richard-Murray

      I agree United have issues at the back but that is mainly due to injuries. I think we have cover in defense with valencia and jones, max 1 more quality defender to sure up the back line. We have good team this season, just a matter of time till Moyes finds that magic formula. Still, i thought the win against Palace on Saturday was far from good, considering they were playing with 10 men. As for the PL title, United are going to have to fight very hard for it. I hope we win ;-)

    • profile image

      Richard-Murray 3 years ago

      Did anyone see Real and Barca play yesterday, I must say, neither one of them will win the UEFA CL this season, guaranteed. ManU is not going to win either, not until they replace Rio Ferdinand. Arsenal will not get out of the group stage. I have seen Napoli, they are dangerous. Dortmund is better than arsenal, and Marseille is underestimated. On their day they can beat anyone. In all earnest, I think Juventus, Bayern, PSG, and Chelsea are the top runners. PSG and Chelsea have offensive issues but defensively all four teams show the quality needed to win the UEFA CL. If those four teams offenses are sharp and healthy they should win.

      and the dark horse is milan

      @Internpete

      Everton won and won well, but how they won wasnt impressive. They made fatal errors in the back that wasnt capitalized by Eto'o and Ramires, which on another day are capitalized. Eto'o had two goals that individual defensive efforts and the gods didn't allow. Everton under Moyes wasn't as possession based and didn't pass as much but they were defensively secure. Everton's weaker defensive security will cost them later in the season, when the legs weaken. Early season their style is great but later in the season it will be costly.

      @Muzzster

      I think manu need better defense, not a stronger midfield, like I said last season and the season before. They may win the EPL again, that is possible as they are, but they can forget the UEFA CL and any of the domestic cups. Moyes can bring as many midfielders as he wants, ManU's backline will get them out of the group though i expect Real Socieded to beat ManU.

      @Richard-Murray

      That is what United needed, some muscle in midfield which means that Carrick can push more upfield now with Fellaini covering and vice-versa. But still dont understand why Moyes is not playing Kagawa! He will do wonders if he plays behind Van Persie and Rooney in the hole.

    • internpete profile image

      @Internpete

      I think everton is an easier win, fellaini's departure is huge and is irreplaceable.

      @CCahill

      ditto on everton's problems. and thank you for your praise of my argument quality:) ha!

      towards the goobers:) [yes shame on me] Ozil is fitting automatically as I knew he would. REal Madrid will not win the UEFA CL this season and I will go straight to the release of ozil as why. I would have let di maria go over ozil.

      @Muzzster

      fellaini offers a different midfield creature than manu is used to. He wins headers in the air and starts counterattacks off of the header, manu wasnt ready for that, he also will need carrick to move with him more as he will win midfield balls.

      Just a short run down of most expensive transfers done after deadline day. Its got a voting panel at the bottom. Need more votes for who people think is the best big money signing heading through this 2013-14 season.

      I've created a survey for a report that I plan to write for my hub so I would appreciate it if you could fill it out and share it (Thanks Richard-Murray for sharing it earlier). The link is here: http://bit.ly/12BCrLJ

      My page views just went under 100 for the first time ever! average at 600 and at its peak averaged at 2000 during last summer, this is the worst its EVER been and i have produced some new material aswell so something else is wrong clearly but Hubpages needs to sort it out, otherwise all profitability will be lost

      Where did you take the screenshot from? is should either be the score for an individual hub or your overall score as a hubpages user, it has pretty limited significance tho and nobody is entirely sure of the algorhythm that dictates scorings

    • nlazar profile image

      N. Lazar 4 years ago from USA

      Also, what is the little box that has a number in it signify? I have an example here:

      Can't help but think that Hubpages have messed up the page views the past few weeks, its only just starting to go back up to a normal figure after completely plummeting

      it must be the hubpages system

    • internpete profile image

      yeah mine is down at least 50%. Don't understand these unified ups and downs. My blogs are much more consistent, and only go up or down depending on how they rank in Google.

      CL semifinals begin tomorrow, and I put together a hub with some analysis and predictions, will be adding more as the games progress to the final. Been a while since I've written much on hubpages, been focusing on blogging.

      I lied, i didn't share it, not much point without Ad scheme setup, just quickly upload some college/uni work, add a heading picture and jobs a good un, 5-10 hub is the usual amount for acceptance into the scheme
