Who do you think will win the Super Bowl in 2012?  The Patriots or the Giants?

That's a possibility!  You never know.  Anything is possible these days.  Two teams tying for the Super Bowl.  Now that would be something to go down in history!  Take care!

That is impossible. The rules state that they would continue to play until the game was decided. If overtime ran out, they would start another 15 minute period. Ties can only happen during the regular season, so YOU WILL NEVER SEE THAT!

I have a tough time choosing which one will win. I'll just pick the Giants since they have a good pair of running backs to use to run the ball. It seems like they have better pass rushers. They are performing very well so far during the postseason.

3 of the greatest clutch receivers..... Manningham Hakeem and the salsa dancer Cruz

As for the Pats - their star Gronkowski is playing on a bad ankle .

Brady shall have his face on the turf for most of the game. .. The Giants finished tied for third in the NFL in the regular season with 48 sacks, including 11 in victories over the Jets and Cowboys in winning the NFC East title. They have added nine more in their three playoff wins.

Just watch the front 4 Osi, Tuck, Canty and JPP

The Giants dont have a team of pro cheerleaders but I hear Strahan is dressing for the role!

  11. Hugh Williamson profile image70

You can't take much away from Brady and the Pats offense, even with Gronk banged up -- but you have to play defense too. The shakey Patriot defense just mailed it in until a couple of games ago.

The Giants are well balanced and healthy but, the last I read, they were 3 point underdogs. (?)

I look for the Giants to beat 'em up and take their lunch money.

  12. optimus grimlock profile image60
    optimus grimlockposted 12 years ago

cruz is cluth yes, nicks maybe manningham no way. giants balanced wtf there lb core is a big weakness that tight ends take advantage of and there run game is hit or miss. sure the pats d is bad but the last 3 games they've played like a top 5 d! If you think gronk isnt close to 85-90% then your bein suckerd in by reports.

Actually the Patriots even had more rushing yards(1764) during the regular season than the Giants(1427). BJGE and Woodhead beats out Ahmad Bradshaw and Brandon Jacobs? And while I agree that New York's defense is better than the Patriots D, I think with a lack of a ground game the Giants just cannot survive.

    At Wavegirl...their star gronkowski...LMAO!

Welker has more yards receiving than ANY Giants receiver..he had more than 120 catches..40 more than any receiver and IS the only player to have 3 120+ catch seasons besides Jerry Rice and Chris Carter...but you don't call him a star......remember....WES IS MORE! ......

Hernandez had more than both your tight ends combined....he is also a star!

Branch is a former Super Bowl MVP...don't count him out either...

    You GIANTS HOMER! : > P

Welker's a total system guy, but still a great player. Hernandez is the most talented receiver they have, and Gronkowski is open mostly because of Hernandez. Let's be straight though, not a single one of these guys would be near any records if say Mark Sanchez was throwing them the ball.

That's the point though. Welker definitely is a good player and MIGHT end up being a HOFer, but the bust better be of him on his knees thanking Tom Brady. Cris Carter is so far and away better than Welker and he's still not in the Hall after 4 years on the ballot. He will get his numbers but hasn't been a difference-maker since his knee injury.

Who is ELite? I didn't know the Giants had a player with that name?? If you say you meant that backwoods honkey with a big nose and a goofy smile then I am going to laugh at your ass! Elite quarterbacks don't throw 29 tds and 16 picks during the season...oh and...she should change her name to Elisa..that would be more appropriate.

  23. MarkRFox profile image59
    MarkRFoxposted 12 years ago

Elite quarterbacks are QBs with multiple championships, pass for more than 5000 yards, hold single season touchdown records, thow only 4 interceptions in a season, have 300 or more tds and have more than 100 wins...uhm...Elisa WOMANning has none of those qualities...FACT!

The Ramblings of a Giants Fan Part 1 ...
The Giants get every check mark..which means how they managed to go 18-0…I mean the Giants are better in every area..including QB and Coach. My chips are all in…..facts are stubborn things…and the facts are these….

  27. MarkRFox profile image59
    MarkRFoxposted 12 years ago

The Ramblings of a Giants Fan Part 2....The Giants were the hottest team in the NFL over the past month..they’ve won 5 straight games…the Patriots only won 10! I mean the Patriots barely won a lot of those games like the game against Washington. Don’t mind that the Giants lost to the same team by 2 touchdowns, but don’t mind that because that isn’t a good indicator.

  28. MarkRFox profile image59
    MarkRFoxposted 12 years ago

The Ramblings of a Giants Fan Part 3...The Patriots backed into the Super Bowl with a lucky miss by Billy Cundiff after Lee Evans dropped the pass that was ferociously ripped out his hands, but that pure luck.Kyle Williams fumbling a punt he had no intention off his knee was typical clutch play by the Gmen!

  29. MarkRFox profile image59
    MarkRFoxposted 12 years ago

The Ramblings of a Giants Fan Part 4...Eli manning is more than Brady’s equal..I mean you can’t even spell ELITE without him! He’s the winningest winner that ever won! He LOVES taking sacks, laughs in the face of a pass rush, can’t be intimidated, never throws a bad pass!

  30. MarkRFox profile image59
    MarkRFoxposted 12 years ago

The Ramblings of a Giants Fan Part 5...Eli’s 7 feet tall & he kills men by the 100s. His legend grows like William Wallace. He’ll consume the Patriots with fireballs from his eyes and lightning bolts from his ARS!

  31. MarkRFox profile image59
    MarkRFoxposted 12 years ago

The Ramblings of a GiANTS Fan Part 6... Brady..hah.. you can pressure him, you can put him on the ground. He doesn’t like to get hit. He gets rattled. Forget the multiple championships and mvps ..and the fact that has been the game plan for the past 11 years…that was just to make you THINK it doesn’t work!

  32. MarkRFox profile image59
    MarkRFoxposted 12 years ago

The Ramblings of a Giants Fan Part 7...Brady has played terrible in the playoffs especially if you take away that record breaking performance in the playoffs and you must take it away…it deosn’t count! The Giants D is an unstoppable tsunami, New England’s three pro bowl blockers and best blocking tight end in the league  have no chance of stopping him!

  33. MarkRFox profile image59
    MarkRFoxposted 12 years ago

The Ramblings of a Giants Fan Part 8...Devin McCourty had a pro bowl rookie season, but was so terrible this year they had to move him to safety! Antrell Rolle was moved to safety but never mind that. Bradshaw and Jacobs can pound the ball…don’t mind that last in the NFL in rushing thing.

  34. MarkRFox profile image59
    MarkRFoxposted 12 years ago

The Ramblings of a Giants Fan...the FINALLY....Gronk is missing practices and will be hurt come Super Sunday but Hakeem Nicks has been missing practices but he’ll be just fine.Tom Coughlin’s super human brain operates on a plane that no other human can hope to attain ..I mean he is better than Bill Belichick…He is the biggest football genius there ever was and the best coach since Vince Lombardi! What does Bill Belichick even know about winning big games?

All I know is that this game will be very close, as I doubt we'll have a blow out in this year's super bowl.  Although the Giants DID earn their last super bowl victory against the Patriots, but the sad reality is that the Pats took the game too lightly.  You can tell by the way Brady arrogantly refused to shake Eli's hand before the game, and how Billichick shamelessly ran back to the locker room before the game was even over, so he could congratulate Coughlin and the Giants that year; especially considering how cruelly Billichick forced other coaches to watch his undefeated pats, at the time, to run up the score un-sportsman like to prove their dominance.  Needless to say, I think in a way the Pats needed to lose that Super Bowl, in order for them to realize that what got them to their previous championships had nothing to do with being the most talented team on the field.  No, it was all about playing as the smartest team on the field that won them their previous super bowls.  Therefore, I doubt seriously the Patriots are going to take the game lightly this time.

As for the Giants, they're the underdogs again, as everyone is counting them out as it seems, and they love it.  They feed off of it, with their patented "Us vs the world" mentality.  Plus, this also puts them in the unique position of having NOTHING to lose at all, while the Patriots have everything to lose.  What do I mean by that?  The pats are favored to win, so if they lose, then it'll be declared an upset, and they'll have to suffer the humiliation of hearing how they lost to the Giants...AGAIN..after being favored over them...AGAIN!  Whereas the Giants, if they lose, who cares?  They were expected to lose.  Sure, they'll be sad about it, but as long as they play a close game, then nobody will criticize them, as most sports casters will say they just lost to a superior team.  But if they win, then it'll only make their victory all that much sweeter.  Hence, the Giants are the most dangerous team right now, as they have NOTHING to lose, but EVERYTHING in the world to gain.  Therefore they're very dangerous people.

The patriots have a lot to lose here, so they better not take the game lightly again.

I think the giants are talented enough to win, and so do the patriots.  I can see this super bowl going either way, as I truly believe this will come down to the wire.

The x-factor the giants will be if their running game to keep the pats' offense off the field and reduce their touches like they did with the Packers; while giving their defense a enough rest so they can be prepared to take on Tom Brady and his pats' offense.

The x-factor for the patriots will depend on the health of gronkowski.  If he's at least 80 percent healthy, then it'll help create various match up problems for the Giants' D, and not to mention make the Pats' offense more explosive.  However, if he's under 80 percent healthy, then the Pats will lose the Super Bowl.

In the end, I predict this game will be decided by ten points or less.

wavegirl22posted 12 years agoin reply to this

do you really believe that the Pats took that SB lightly? . . .  'Child please!'

Come on Belicheck didnt shake hands because he is a sore loser. Fact is he left the field before the clock even ran out.

The only thing you can say about the Pats in that SB was that they were embarrassed.

As in any game, the team that wants it more will be the team that wins. ..

For Giants fans everywhere. . .the keyword now is that we are #ALLin

and we believe in ELi! (and it sure doesnt hurt to have the front four that we do.. .watch as Brady's face spends most of the time smacked into the turf)

  36. MarkRFox profile image59
    MarkRFoxposted 12 years ago

It seems that way...good thing too...when one team is believed to be much superior over the past 11 years the other team usually wins...
08 Colts were supposed to dominate
07 Patriots were supposed to dominate
01 Rams were supposed to dominate...
How'd those work out? All of the other Super Bowls had favorites obviously but they were much closer spreads...
I think the only team that was supposed to dominate that actually won were the 05 Steelers..but that was against Seattle so what do you expect..LOL
