    Do you wash your hair everyday? Why or why not? Do you need to wash them everyday?

    Some wash their hair three times a week while some do it everyday. Is it good to wash your hair everyday?

    washing the hair every day is hard on your hair and completely unnecessary.  Hair is not that dirty, it's the scalp that builds up the oil etc.  If you get out of the habit of daily washing and go to every other day or only a couple of times per week, the hair is healthier and the scalp stops overproducing oil in time, because its natural oils are not being regularly stripped causing oil production to go into overdrive.

    especially if you have dry hair, damaged or split ends definitely do not wash it every day.  Also, you can wash just he scalp/roots where hair appears oily without shampooing all the way to the ends.

    No. I shower every other day to save time and products. Just using a hair spray my hair will look fine for two days without touching water. At that point, the only reason to shower is because of shaving.

    It depends on what you do every day. Washing your hair every day is generally not a good idea, but if you are exposed to a lot of dirt (Like I was when working construction) or you perspire a lot due to an active life style then it follows that you would want to wash your hair every day. 100 years ago women used to only wash their hair once a week! I believe that you should go three days if you are not exposed to harsh conditions. What you can do, if you must wash your hair every day, is find a good shampoo such as Redkin or Nexxus from a hair salon. These shampoos are formulated to be gentle and nourishing to your hair. My special tip? Wash and condition on day one, day two thoroughly saturate your hair with luke warm water, condition and rinse thoroughly, day three thoroughly saturate hair in water. Use your regular styling products on day three, no conditioner. Day four wash and condition, day five rinse and condition, day six rinse only. Now you're back to day one. I have curly hair. If I wash too often it becomes frizzy. If I don't condition often enough it becomes frizzy. If I do any of the above too often, it becomes weighed down. I am not a hairdresser, so if you have any doubts as to which routine is best for you, ask the person who cuts your hair. They have to go to school to learn what is best for all different hair types. What works best for some is not what is best for others. Your hairdresser will know for sure. wink

      Depends on many factors;
      1. climate
      2. lifestyle
      3. length of hair
      4. amount of hair left
      5. even your age.
      From my personal experience, when one gets older the hair get more oily.

    No, there is no need to wash my hair daily.

    It is thick, full, and vibrant, just as it is.

    In the summer time, when I perspire more than usual, I wash it more often, but still not on a daily basis..........

    It simply is not worth the trouble!   As I said, it is thick , full and vibrant..............I already have enough to do.......

    I wash my hair everyday. If I did not have to, I wouldn't. The reason I do is due to its length (on the short side of medium length). If I don't wash it, I look like Medusa! I know it would be better not to though.

    I wash my hair every 2-3 days.  I have very thick hair and it takes a while to style so I do not wash it every day.  I do not think it is healthy to wash hair everyday.
