I am launching a clothing line with my aunt and we are still deciding the name. I wanted something like two contradicting words such as "Velvet Revolver", because the clothes are going to be girly, soft yet edgy and bold. If you have any other suggestions please comment below. Thanks.
1) Who's your target market?
2) What's your pricepoint?
3) What's your brand image (other than 'girly')
My target would be the same as Forever 21 but a tad pricier. The style other than girly is bold, edgy, rock and roll, irreverent.
Just in case you haven't decided after 2 years lol - I think the name Avadore is a really cool name.
Sounds like a great concept. Do you have an image or two you can post to give us an idea?
Maybe not, has to be used as an adjective to work?
adjective smart·er, smart·est.
quick or prompt in action, as persons.
having or showing quick intelligence or ready mental capability: a smart student.
shrewd or sharp, as a person in dealing with others or as in business dealings: a smart businessman.
clever, witty, or readily effective, as a speaker, speech, rejoinder, etc.
dashingly or impressively neat or trim in appearance, as persons, dress, etc.
The name you give as an example is already in use for a rock band.
Would you have a sample photo of some of the lines? What age group are you targetting? Colors? Styles? All of these would factor into naming your line. I'll be back to check if you post any links or photos to your line.
why not Gritty Lady? or Gritty Glam? or Gritty Garb?
or Shady Lady - which may have already been used
I like ________ Lady because the Lady part is kind of funny. The Lady is a Tramp? haha
I read the title as "help my name my clothes line" and imagined someone wanting a pet name for that line you use to dry your sheets and things on a windy day!!
Well you get all sorts on here LOL

I want to make a clothing line. How should I start? Also I know how to sew (basic since I did fashion design in high school-equivalent to level one university ) but ended up doing a business degree. Everyone says it's expensive but will it reduce costs if I make the clothes myself?
