Full time blogging - What do you think?
I am thinking to go into full time blogging end of 2012. What do you think? If you are a full time blogger, what can you share with me?
Are you already making money from a blog?
I think it's a great thing if you can actually do it. Most of us can't. Not at first. I don't know where you are at in regards to your current blog status, so it's hard to answer.
I absolutely wish I could be a full time blogger. Working from home full time would be a dream come true. Im not sure when you started but if you can afford to go full time then I say go for it. There would be no better feeling then saying good bye to my day job and working full time out of my home office.
If you think you can do it, and survive financially then go for it. The biggest problem most people encounter is building up their online profile to a point where they can live off the income.
I had a friend who decided to do this after she was laid off her long-term job. She was a skilled professional and the job market was dry, so she started some writing online. Because she didnt have any other income she worked at blogging and releasing online content, but she said that the first 9 months were the hardest. It was during this period that she was not making enough money to live off, but she managed to stay frugal and get by. If this is possible for you then go for it, once you are in the clear then its a lot easier to manage an online lifestyle.
It's definitely doable, but remember that search engine rankings and traffic are never a certainty. Things can be wonderful for a long time and then suddenly drop out of nowhere.
Best not to put all your eggs in one basket.
It can be pretty risky business
But at the same time if you are willing to put in the hardwork and know this is something you want to pursue - why not go for it.
Just try and have a back up plan!
This is something I actually did think about, especially with the simplicity of Squidoo at the time. I had over 100 blogs on Squidoo and without really trying, I was generating about $20 to $30 a month almost 6 Years ago. I started getting serious once I started getting used to this kinds of extra funds just for writing or sharing my ideas. Squidoo was simple and all you needed was a PayPal account.
I miss Squidoo, but all things must come to an end! Squidoo is no more and I don't get paid on HubPages. This is not why I write or share my interest now. A full time blogger was something I did consider very seriously about 6 years ago!

Can anyone suggest a good free blogging site?My hubs tend to be spiritual. Because of the recent quality standard changes on HubPages I have experienced dramatic quality score deflation. I'm looking for a blog site that goes easy on the Adsense user, if I can help it. Any...
