What are some tips for teaching your kids about proper Facebook etiquette?
Honestly I don't think kids should be on facebook. It has a built in age requirement (I think it's 16) so parents have no grounds to stand on when they complain that their eight-year-old saw an offensive post.
Kids definitely shouldn't be on Facebook. My best advice for teaching them proper etiquette mostly revolves around showing them how to use it, what is and isn't appropriate etc.
Also making sure privacy settings are set currently is important.
I think the age requirement for kids to be on Facebook is 13. It's just about making sure they only accept friend requests from people they know in real life and stuff like that really.
There are some excellent web pages on this topic. Try a search on keeping kids safe on social networking sites. Many kids do not realize that social network sites are fun, but that one needs to take care.
