Filipinos are just like everyone else. They have a culture, a language--languages/dialects, foods, etc. unique to their country and its regions. Their population(s) contain all sorts of personalities, people of varying character, and a wide variety of abilities. They have individual faults, like everyone else, and they have national faults, just like every other nation.
Just like every other people group throughout time, they each have a foundational need to realize that this life is a vapor and eternity is one breath away for each of us. Jesus says, "I come that they might have life, and have it more abundantly," John 10:10. It matters not what our traditions are, the question for abundant life in this world and joy in eternity is, "How do we respond to the love of Jesus the Christ?" The Philippines is my home country and while there are many more beautiful places than the Philippines, I still love this place.
As a Filipino, I would have to say that the Philippines has its good and bad points, just like the other countries.
Good Side:
- People are very optimistic, notwithstanding poverty. We like to believe that tomorrow would be brighter than today.
- People generally love fun. We like festivals, gatherings, reunions, the like.
- People sacrifice for their families. Millions of Pinoys do go overseas to work and send money back home.
- Plenty of sun. It's a tropical country!
- Beautiful beaches. I can't say this enough, Philippines' beaches are amazing.
- The fruits are sweet - mangoes, coconuts, bananas, pineapples, and others.
Bad Side:
- The government sucks.
- Pollution is bad.
- Crime rate can be high in some places.
- Population is ballooning by the second.
Philippines is one of the countries in Asia that has lots of beautiful beaches and the delectable cuisines. Most of the Filipinos are being admired by foreign people for being so hospitable..
I already commented above so i'll just say this since all comments seem to be happy go lucky nicey ,nicey...the problem over there is overpopulation. Each family can't afford even a few kids, yet they have 6-8 not including grandkids running around. Ease up people. I'm not suggesting killing off your poulation or anything evil but dang slow down a bit. A whaw chka chka chka whaw. just a joke.

Well, my mother announced that I and her are moving to the Philippines in 2-3 years. I have read a lot about negative things about it and laughed it off because I currently do a network marketing business. Even if we reach top positions, we will move there.I am not really that thrilled about the...

I think everyone has there own preferences, You would think people prefer dark skin that's why they are out in the sun and at the tanning beds Always striving to look better, but not striving to be better people.
