Why is it important to travel abroad?
I enjoy travel, but I've only been to the two countries adjacent to my own and some of the territories it claims. The country is very large and I have yet to visit all its states also, although I have been to over half of them.
Beside being fun to travel abroad, it gives you a better understanding of the world. You limit your education by not extending your borders.
The world is such a huge place, it would be a shame to only see a small portion of it. I think travel helps define who you are as a person, mostly in an internal way. You begin to realize people are more similar than we think, people have the same problems, same joys, the same passions and fears. I think it allows you to look at poverty and feel true sadness and sympathy for it... while understanding (for me at least) how blessed the U.S. is.
I don't think it is although I can see the points the other people made. I've been least through a lot of the US and seen some amazing things, but there's so much yet to see. If the chance ever comes up for me to go to another country I probably will. Until then, I'll enjoy the things I can see right here at home.
Travel abroad exposes you to a different set of cultures and customs. It will broaden your mind
It is important to travel to other countries and mix with other cultures because it adds to your knowledge about the things you learn in World History. I love to travel to other countries now if I have the money to do it I will go to any country like Canada, America, New Zealand and Australia.
It's exiting to go to new place meet new people, learn good things from other cultures.
Traveling is not mandated for everybody. You do it as a passion but definitely not mandated. A lot of people are not itnerested in traveling so therefore it is not important to them. I love to experience different cultures and interact with the people. Also happen to love languages ,french being my main interest as far as linguistic pursuits. Travel broadens your horizons. It trains you to see the world in a different light other than your own comfort zone. The different sights and sounds, food, ways of life also add excitement to the lure of travel.
It is a real eye opener for people to go abroad. Gives you great perspective on somewhere other than what you already know. Travel makes you wiser!
