worth a visit country sandwich by Thailand and Vietnam?
world of heritage -luang prabang
Definitely worth a visit. Passed through a few times. It has its own special Asian magic.
Dohn121 a good writer here is a Laotian,
its a place I've always wanted to go, since reading about it in a book - I think it only opened its borders to visitors fairly recently - within the last few years - correct me if I'm wrong. I guess sooner rather than later is the best time to go, but at the moment circumstance does not allow for that sort of trip.
Oh its defintely worth a visit and not just a sandwich.
When I was in the area I added it on to my itinerary due to rave reviews from other travelers. I am SO glad I did. I spent many happy weeks there - Vietianne, Vang Viang (I'd skip that next time), and Luang Prabang in the north. It's quite unlike any other Asian country I've been to.
I've written a few hubs on Laos if you would like to check them out. Happy traveling!

Hi! My travel and buddy and I are planning to spend two weeks in Laos and would like to get your suggestions on what we can do within this time period. Thanks.

I'm from Peru and the best places there are Machu Pichu and the Nazca Lines
