   What are your three greatest motivators for writing on hubpages?

   1) I was on MySpace, but it got so buggy that it become nonfunctional, so I came here.
   
   2) Hubpages is more professional; that is both an asset and a liability. (More of an asset.)
   
   3) Most importantly: I write to communicate with my daughter. So far it is a one way conversation, but you never know...
   
   Money is a motivator, but I don't care to learn how to market my Hubs. I focus on increasing quality of life; if the money follows, then right on!

   Making money through the ad program.

   My three would be -
   To see if i could actually write content other's would enjoy.
   Pick up tips, help and new friends .
   To see if i could earn reasonable income on a regular basis

   For me they would have to be:
   
   1. The community and friends that I've made here motivate me a lot to keep writing.
   
   2. The love of writing - especially on subjects that interest me.
   
   3. To build up a portfolio of articles to help with other freelance work. If I make a little cash on Hub Pages as I go, then that's a lovely bonus.

   Improvement of my English would be most important. I made my account on hubpages few weeks ago, but I was scared that no one would understand my writing in English. But I tried to write in my first language, and I felt like only few people can read my blogs and other stuff, so I realised that I have to improve my English. And I'm here now. Writing in foreign language. And I always was terible in languages. Probably I make a lot of mestakes, but I hope that this community would point out my messtakes and that I will advance:)

      You communicated quite well, diplorging!  The only error I see in this answer was the spelling of "mistakes"... Welcome to hubpages! I think you'll do fine.

      You made more mistakes than that one spelling error, but that isn't a big deal. Hubpages is a good community- at least with my circle of friends. As long as you are a fairly reasonable person,you should have few problems if any.

      I meant, the only blaring error. There are mechanical and grammatical mistakes, but overall - diplorging effectively communicates her thoughts.

   1. Having fun writing on topics I'm passionate about
   
   I have six blogs - five related to writing and one travel blog - but even though this is a lot of blogs, it doesn't give me the complete platform I need to express all of my interests. HubPages does. I love that so much about HubPages, I'm having to think about ways to curb my addiction to it and balance my Hubbing with the rest of my writing activities.
   
   2. Income
   
   I've only been here a week and I've yet to prove to myself that the man hours I'm putting in will give me the return on income that I'd like to see. I know it takes time to write enough Hubs to generate revenue and to build traffic to your Hubs, but seeing income happening right from the first day has been encouraging.
   
   From reading various pages on HP, I've received mixed impressions of what's realistic to expect in terms of earning power. I'm still delving into this. I'd like to have a better picture of the TRUE earning potential here, for a Hubber who works diligently to create quality content.
   
   3. Making friends and reading great Hubs from other writers
   
   I already had an active online social life with other writers before I arrived here. At first glance, I don't really need more of that - I can barely keep up with all the blogs of the writing friends I've already got. But I've already met some amazing people here, and I've read some wonderful Hubs. It's hard to say "I don't need more of that" when the quality is so high.
   
   Having enough of it in my life already also makes me choosier about what I'll read here and who I will follow. Convince me with your writing that you're worth my reading time!
