   Are your writing as many hubs as you used to?  Why or Why not?
   
   What are the factors that you have decided to write more or fewer hubs than before?

   I have been writing a lot with the apprenticeship program, but I think I will taper off once this month is over and focus more on revamping and repurposing older hubs to make them as good as my more recent ones.
   
   I am also focusing more now on taking on paying clients so Hubs kind of have to come after making a living

   I would write a dozen or more Hubs per month before I entered the Apprenticeship Program. For some reason, once I HAD to write eight Hubs a month, I didn't want to anymore - this isn't the fault of HubPages, just some weird thing with me. And there are guidelines we have to follow to keep our little green "A's" that folks who haven't done the program aren't really restricted to (yet), so it does take me longer to write a Hub than it used to.
   
   I guess it became something more like work and less like fun. I still enjoy writing, I just don't do it here as much as I used to and I wouldn't trade the experience I gained from the Apprenticeship Program for anything.

   I started writing for HP in January when I was accepted into the Apprenticeship program. I was required to write 8 hubs each month at minimum. We could write up to 15 hubs (for payment). Though it was my intention to write 15 hubs, I could barely keep up with the minimum of 8. As an apprentice, HP does require following certain guidelines. Each month was different and built upon the last month's guidelines. It's a great program and teaches us to be better writers. They help us to write "evergreen" so that our hubs get more views and help us to earn more. My apprenticeship was completed at the end of June, and I can still write to earn for each hub. My minimum requirement now is four hubs. July has been very hectic for me with business and family vacations, so I will complete the month with the minimum (4). But, I plan to continue with writing 8 hubs per month (two per week). Though I would like to write more, it is time consuming. One hub usually takes me three to five hours to research, add pictures and videos, write, edit, and proof. I think I'm getting better (faster) at it, but I still have my business to run, a family to tend to, as well as other things going on in life. Though, HP is addictive!

      Eight hubs is a lot of hubs.   I am glad I didn't write a lot more way back when.   I would have more to change than I have now.

   I used to try and keep to a one-Hub-per-week schedule when I first started here. Now that I've built up a decent collection of Hubs I no longer feel pressured to keep that up. I want HubPages to be fun and an outlet, not just another grind so now I write when the mood strikes me. Sometimes I go a month or more without posting.

      Although I have under 20 hubs, when I did write them I would write them in a day.   Now I don't.   I write them over a period of time.  No hurry....they (HP) are not in a hurry to put them up and that was part of the excitement......

      Oh, many things. How the scores are kept, featured/unfeatured. Wondering at times of the futility of writing about what I rite about; academic snobbery, etc.

   No, I haven't written as many hubs as I used to for a number of reasons.  The primary reason now is because my daily views have been way down for the past month or so and seem to be going lower.  I've lost my motivation to write when my views are going down.  In March I was getting twice as many daily views with fewer hubs than I am now.  Another reason is that with my teaching I just haven't found enough time.  Finally, I am still in the process of updating older hubs.

   When I joined HubPages, I joined it to write literary reviews, but I haven't had as much time as I thought I would to write a good-length, quality hub for everything I read. It's easy to quickly write a hub, but it takes time to write a quality one. I don't want to publish just for the sake of publishing, so I haven't written quite as often as I did in the beginning.

      Its funny, isn't it that some of the better writers (no, not me...) become perfectionistas once they have been here a while causing them NOT to do that which is the thing they love most!

   I never did write all that much for HubPages - I have only 50-something hubs in 3 years - and I'm hardly adding new hubs now.
   
   Although I love the community of HubPages, and love writing, a big part of my writing is that I need to earn a decent income from it, which is not happening - for me anyway - here on HubPages.
   
   I prefer to write mostly for my own site - where ad earnings are all my own, and where I can also advertise any of my own services or products as much as I want to.

    I'm not writing much anymore because I seldom have an uninterrupted moment when someone is not calling me or stopping into visit. I can't just come out and say please give me some time to be alone so I can write.  They know I'm a writer.  They know I work a full time job away from home and most the housework is left for me. Time is priceless.  I wish I had more of it. I've started three books I can't seem to get more than a chapter at a time written. Unless I can quit my day job and hide out somewhere I'm not sure how much I'll get to write, Hubpages or otherwise.  Does this sound like a WOO-IS-ME rant? I use to not let people take me from my work, I don't know when this all started, but sure wish it would let up some.
