For me it's become an addiction it seems. But I'm still infatuated with the whole internet-world-at-my-finger-tip. zs

I love it.  People here have been so good to me and made me feel quite welcome by enjoying my hubs.  I think it's a great place to read, write and learn.  I learn new things about myself and others everyday.  It's all good, as learning is what life is all about.

smile  I'd rather smile anyday than be ticked off and I think hubbing makes me happy.  Does my hubbing make others happy?  Well,  I hope so, that's all we can do.  I've accomplished a lot in my life time,  and you know what....until today, no one has ever attacked it.  First time for everything but yes,  I'm a happy hubber.  Thanks for asking!!!   haha

me too, me too! I'm lovin' hubbin'. I love seeing a message in my inbox that I have a new comment, or that one of my favorite hubbers has published a new hub. My only problem seems to be I spend a lot more time reading here than writing...but that's not a new problem for me. Sort of my life story, actually!

Yeah... reading gets the best of me sometimes too. I need to finish putting up some stuff! Hubbing is very fun! It's great to see that you're being read, or at least looked at! big_smile

There are quite a bit of talented writers here! I wish there were more constructive comments on my hubs, but I'll live without them. big_smile

I love the whole system....the hubtools, forum, comments section, immediate help/response in forums and everything.

I hope hubbing includes everything as told, right?

This is a great place to write, read, learn and think about more writing, reading and learning.    To those of you who just awoke from a writing slumber, this is a great place to get sharp again.  As much as I knew that I didn't know what the hell I was doing, the people of this community poked and prodded me forward when I needed it.

You will discover (as i just recently have) that being friends with Hubpeople is great and they are a nice bunch, but if you want to succeed in this world, you better have thick skin.  If you want everyone to answer every little question you have but you didn't bother to read any of the info available to you...look out!

These are some of my many lessons here at hubpages that newcomers might benefit from hearing.

    1)  Don't use the forums to promote your own hubs, use them to make your hubs better.
    2)  Tweaked all your old hubs regularly, it can be more important than you realize!
    3)  Don't act like a crybaby or you will get spanked.  If you do something wrong and people call you out on it, don't fight back out of insecurity...let it go, let it grow...
    4)  The moderator is NOT out to get you.  Relax. Deep Breath.  Try again.
    5)  If you don't fully understand what spamming is, you should find out before you end up doing it unknowingly.
    6)  Look before you leap.  If you have a debatable thing on a future hub, ask someone BEFORE publishing it.
    7)  The question you are about to post in the Need Help Forum is probably already in there if you check a few pages worth of subjects.
    8)  If you come off like a know-it-all, there is no room for the conversation to go.  If you leave certain points out of your text, that will invite a debate.
    9)  When I started 2 months ago, I didn't know what an URL was, much less a backlink or an Adsense account.  If I can do it, you can do it....cause I'm a goofy bastard.
    10)  I just learned how to post videos 2 weeks ago, now I make my own...in other words it is what YOU make of it.

HAPPY HUBBING HUBBERS.   I dig the whole lotta ya.

I agree with DJ Funktual.  I have received more positive help from HubPages than other places like Helium.  Quick feedback and comments from other Hubbers helps keep me on track for writing great stuff. Which, in the end I care more about improving my skills than any criticism I may endure.  Criticism  + Positive Feedback = Balanced and progressive money making skills.

What are you kidding me? No, I am not in abusive relationship at all. And you posting something like that is so very far out of line its almost amazing. I suggest you delete that, as it's libel.

And I did not "lash out". Nor could I be arsed to do so. I simply called a spade a spade. Couldn't give a toss what silliness is said otherwise, as long as it's not said under the guise of being expert advice.

PS:  My brother-in-law is a lawyer.  I'm not buying your "libel" bull either.  "Libel" is to insault another.  Nothing I said was insaulting to you, actaully, it was quite to the contrary... in your defense.  'Me thinks thou protests too much."

    1. Isabella Snow profile image84
Isabella Snowposted 15 years agoin reply to this

In this case, libel is to put into print a false statement about someone else. The first several sentences were written as though they were facts.

You're actually still implying it was true, but since the original post is gone, I don't much care anymore.

and DJ, you're right, I tweaked my older hubs and boy the traffic picked right up.  Don't know what I did, but it worked.  Moved some pics down from the text...I guess the google gods liked that part.   haha

nothin' says lovin' like somethin' from the oven....I often find baking up something sweet makes everyone in the house feel good.  I did that a lot as a foster parent.  Now, cookies don't fix everything, but I've never known anyone to eat a cookie and be mad...while chewing a warm chocolate chip cookie?  nope   can't happen.
