The thought just crossed my mind as I was reading a page of comments.
None for me Rod. I am a flower wilting on the vine at the moment.
Checked your avatar, nice dog but what's going on with the coffee cup. Don't you have good beer in South Africa or was this an early morning photo shoot?
Coffee cup to be sure, no tis coffee, 1 part coffee, 1 part Irish Whiskey, a touch of brown sugar, and a dash of cream, twas what you being seeing I'm sure.
Can you not see the slightly confused look?
I have no-one i know hubbing here..... I have only one person i know personally thats my fan!...Having said that, I have 230 hubpage referral signups and 500+ fans! which i more than appreciate!
I finally convinced my husband to join last week.
And I know at least one mother-daughter pair.
Well, Vivi (my 12-lb bitch) doesn't have her own account, but she's been known to try to add her own touch to my hubs here and there. Unfortunately, since the majority of hubbers don't speak dog, the words she types would look like gibberish to you, so I remove them before publication.
Shame on you, deleting the fine writings of a well bred lady dog, maybe she would have a strong following out here.
Thanks for the comment.
If you did not the hub police (oops you are one) would remove them anyway!
My grandma is a hubber. One of my younger cousins was doing it for awhile, but when he started leaving me spammy comments and his hubs were lame, I convinced him to stop until he wants to take it seriously.
My cousin Renee, aka bldskr29, joined and loves to hub when she has time.
Thanks to all that have responded, a welcome to families and there support systems, the hub pages.
Mama (DonnaCSmith) and I are both writing here, and my sisters are (so far) unpublished Fans.
Oh yeah Rodney...Dineane and DonnaCSmith are both pretty cool.
My Wife Alison is also a hubber http://hubpages.com/profile/scotslass and hopefully our children will join at sometime in the future.....jimmy
Hi Dottie, I saw your comment in there earlier lol.....jimmy
I got my dad to come join. Now if I could just get him to post more then 1 hub!
My Husband is on as Hubbie. He doesn't have an avatar and I haven't convinced him to write his own Hubs yet. Who would get the computer? But he is very supportive and I appreciate it.
that's funny. I have two laptops and two desktops, and a 10 meg/sec connection so it wouldn't be an issue in my family, the irony is that since I'm a bachelor I don't have more than myself and my roomate who doesn't use the computer at all anyway, but everyone in my family are online working just in different places.
I talk to my dad constantly- he's at home disabled- through hubpages, email, yahoo
I talk to my mom- usually at work (sac PD transcription) usually through emails
I talk to my little brother and older brother through emails and yahoo... we seem to be connected 24/7 when you include the "instinct" or iphone type cell phones they use (I'm just always at home working on a computer or laptop, they are the mobile ones.. In this new society its really bringing people together.. before all this I barely even talked to my family now we talk every day most of the day for one thing or another, I'm currently training my dad to write SEO charged hubs...

I have 4 family members with accounts, but I'm the only one who really hubs, we are all also working the blog/article curcuit and SA together... It's nice to have the whole family in on something like this, in fact due to hubpages and the other projects I am in constant contact with my dad, whom I probably wouldnt other wise have talked to more than a few times a week, we do projects together, build sites, articles, blogs, make money, all that, we do it all from the internet (live in two seperate towns)...
I think when your a writer and your wanting to earn your income from sites like Hubpages, SA, and all the rest it helps to get the rest of the family (your wife/husband, girlfriend kids) in on it so they understand how much work is involved. You can also work together to build things and not only get them done faster and with more girth, but with all the time you work on thigs together your sharing something special (creativity, time, experience) and it gives you more to talk about, to relate to, and so on, you also have time for family time more yet still make ALOT of money in the process... its a beautiful thing...

I grew up with my friend and hubber Cherish77, so she is not family per sae, but I know her very well.
Aw, thanks, Ryan! We think you are pretty cool, too....We better watch out, someone might think there's even more to this nepotism thing!
No one in my family can write in English - not well enough anyway. I did get my business partner and good friend Steve to join and he has a few hubs on landscaping.
None of my family or relatives joined. sniff...
But dayzeebee joined. She's a friend!
Thats cool, so we have a relatively small goup who are related, so to speak.
For those who have participated so far thank you all.
I just started a couple of weeks ago but i had my sister who is out of the county join HB then we compare hubs im planning to make my cousin join hubpages also since she also loves writing
I have had my husband and sister join but they haven't actually done anything yet. Funnily enough I can see in the tracker where John has joined but not Susan! in fact I have had 2 X Susans join and neither show up in my links.
There you go or let me say a healthy competition
Depends on the competativeness of the competitors, as well. It should never be more than friendly bantering, not so. But a score does need to be kept, or not?
Great that great greats are hubbers as well.

I just started hubbing and I was wondering if those who had been here a while could let me know what kind of results they have had with the referral program? Has anyone tried running advertisements with their hubpage url anywhere? What kind of results did that get? Thanks!

Hubbing is cool. Hubbing let us explore and research. Hubbing ignites creativity. However, when all such efforts go completely unnoticed and hubs gather dusts with any views and traffic, it is difficult to keep the motivation.I must be doing something wrong. Seeking help and advice from fellow...

Are you a huge fan of hubpages? Do you find you just can't stop writing hubs? Well if so, I want you to tell me, what would make you stop hubbing? It can be as outrageous or funny as you like. I'll start.I'll stop hubbing when I am ahead of Hal Lacino in my number of hubs.

I'm currently trying to get my husband to help me write some hubs. I'm happy to type them up and edit them, I basically want his input on topics that I know nothing about - because the more topics you cover the more chance you have of getting a great niche. My husband is half won over on the idea I...

Though the HP community stands for love and cooperation, some hubbers hurt the feelings of fellow hubbers through their harsh comments. Recently I had such a bad experience. Have you ever felt a painful experience here? Can you please share?

Do you think that hubbing can help you grow?I'm 19 and love to see things as opportunities and well this looks like a good one, i just want to clarify with experienced hubbers
