One kid vs. two, or more. Which one is better?
I have a 6 year old son. We are afraid, further issue would hamper our life personally, professionally. My son sometimes says he needs a sister. What if the next one is a baby boy?
Nothing will happen even if next baby is a boy or girl at this age of 6.Parents should take initiative steps if elder not company with young one after 10 or 12 age
I grew up with three brothers, and I have to say, I loved having siblings. I'm not sure what it would have been like having a sister, but I'm sure I would have loved it too. I didn't always get along with my brothers (I remember breaking their Lego castles and deflating their footballs... and they retaliated by decapitating my Barbie doll! Grrr...), but as we grew up, we became closer. So from that point of view, having more than one kid is great, because it gives them a companion for life.
HOWEVER - I don't think having more than one kid is the responsible thing to do if it interferes with your ability to give your child a good, whole life. If you are having financial, personal, or professional problems with one kid, then having another will only make things worse. It is totally worth it to have more than one kid, I think, IF you can afford to give those kids good and equal care and good and equal opportunities in life. The trick is: don't be selfish, but DO be realistic. Children are a huge responsibility.
Hope this helps!
I have a 17yr old girl, 13yr old boy, 7yr old girl.
"If you are supposed to learn from your mistakes, why do some people have more than one child?" - I don't know who said this, but it's somewhat true.
My personal opinion: Live is a crazy adventure filled with highs and lows. Live it to the fullest and take the pleasure out of it where it exists.
Children are a lot of hard work. At the same time, they really challenge a person and make life interesting. If you want children, have them. It will hamper your life in some ways, but make it more interesting in others.
There is a good chance that you will have a baby boy. 50/50 at least.
Remember the first one is the beta test. The second child is your chance to raise one right.
If you have 3 children, they can gang up on you.
If you want a child, go for it. Do your best to raise them well and tell them you love them everyday.
You've got to ask yourself what you're going to leave behind you when you're gone. You're profession will forget you and your achievements soon enough, but your kids will have their own kids and your memory will live on. Children are what it's all about.! As for it being a brother or a sister, you're going to have to explain that it's not something any of you can choose.

Every day I see some of the most stupidest people having children. Usually, at least it seems to me, those with less intelligence keep having child after child, often when they cannot afford them. I sometimes think it would be better for all if there was an IQ requirement for having children. I...

If you were giving a child up for adoption would it be in the child's best interest to go to a relative or to someone unrelated to you?
