   Have you tried the popular Asian meal called Rice?
   
   Asians, especially the South Asian Population are so fond of rice. While the rest of the world population stick on with Wheat products Asia go well with rice and rice products. Please share your food experience.

   I am from North East India...our traditional food also is based all on the Rice products and Rice only. We have been brought up on rice actually. With rice, various vegetarian and non-vegetarian items to accompany in our meals in this part of the world. But individually I prefer anything excluding rice item....LOL....thank you.

   I myself being from the United States was not brought up eating rice. But, I can say now that rice is is included at least in my meals 3-4 times per week. I love rice, and the dishes that one can eat with it.

   I am American, but have Japanese family members. Some of the best meals we've had together were tradition Asian meals with rice. My mother occasionally made fried rice with steak, egg, and soy sauce

   Hi! Sunilkunnoth2012, I come from the Philippines and Rice is always used in any meals prepared for the family. Here in England, potatoes is used instead of rice but the Asian meals like Chinese Foods, Indian Foods, Malaysian and Singaporean Foods is now opening lots of restaurants and takeaways so rice is used here as well. I prefer to eat rice with meat and vegetables at least once a day because rice gives me the energy I need everyday.

   The Chinese word for rice is "fan" which also means "meal and that is what rice is a meal and can be use in any types of dishes even desserts and it's really healthy no matter if it is brown or white ....the one thing I like about rice is that in every part of the world it is treated very different but it's the same product.

   Brazil is one of the top ten rice producing countries of the world. Rice is consumed every day, with beans, in a dish similar to the lentil and rice dish consumed in Nepal. It is cooked a little different than the rice I have eaten at Chinese restaurants in other parts of the world, but does not taste much different.
   In the region I live in (the northeast), "dog rice" (brown, not polished) is about 60 US cents per kilo. People that cannot afford to feed their dogs much meat find it to be a great alternative.

   What is this "rice" you speak of?
   Almost everyone in the world has eaten some form of rice. So to answer your question, yes.

   Rather than an Asian meal it can be called the traditional food of Kerala. The picture included here contains only a few dishes along with rice. But I have seen pictures of such meals with more than 20 side dishes.
