For many years there has been Men running the country, and never before have a woman got so close to being President, do you feel it's time for a woman to run United States since we are in a mess and woman are great thinkers and organizers, what do you think? honestly?

wildernessposted 12 years agoin reply to this

I don't find that women are any greater thinkers than men, and neither do I see them as better organizers.

In very general terms, women often think a little differently than men, and different things are considered important.  Either sex, however, can and does provide great thoughts and conclusions about whatever is important to them.

Given that, I would never vote for a woman just because she is female any more than I would vote for a black man because he is black.  What the individual can or can't accomplish compared to what their opponent can or can't do is far more important, as is what both consider to be important themselves.

If you truly think that being female means ability to straighten out the mess we are in you need to seriously re-think things.  The female politicians we have are generally just as disgusting, just as stupid and just as much a liar as their male counterparts are.  The policies they offer are just as silly and just as self serving.  They are part of a government that seems to be working hard to destroy our country.

@wilderness, the country has to be ran by someone a human if the male can't do it, or has showed that they haven't been able to properly run the US government, then what or who should be next to give a try but a woman, it can't run itself, and since women are very good at taking care of a household, at least some, why not the run the country for a change?

I think.....there are enough good men to fill the roles and I hope they step up and start doing it.   There is no such thing (in my opinion) as it being "time for" a woman to be President, just as there's no particular "time for" anyone of any specific race or background to fill that position.  What I'm trying to say is that that phrase seems to describe someone being given a "token" position based simply on their gender.
That being said, I do think a woman can lead the U.S. just as effectively as a man, if she's got the right qualities and experience.

As far as am concern, their is noting wrong with a woman being the president the issue is your ability to deliver and give the people good governance besides their is this saying that what ever a man can do,a woman can do better if not the best

Yes its time for a woman to take charge! Men are too obsessed with their sexula organs to focus on the job at hand, which is why I supported Bachmann. She'll have to exert herself a bit more in the debates or she'll end up as Cain's running mate!

Okay, so where is the good men to fill the President role because there seems to be much ego and back slapping you wash my hand I wash yours, someone has to do the job and get this country out of the ditch and it seems woman are excellent thinkers, organizers, and have the ability to run households for many years so why not the Country?

    1. TamCor profile image82
TamCorposted 12 years agoin reply to this

I agree that woman CAN be excellent thinkers, organizers, etc...but there are just as many men out there who can, too.

The problem is that, while some people, men and women, start off in politics for the right reasons, way too many of them become ensnared by the greed and selfishness that is so prevalent in politics.

There isn't one politician out there right now--again, man or woman--that I personally feel is working for the betterment of this country.  They say all the "right" things that they know their constituents want to hear, but when elected they seem to forget who put them there in the first place.

I just don't see how a woman is doing any better yet in controlling this problem.

        1. TamCor profile image82
TamCorposted 12 years agoin reply to this

Yes--if they can be swayed that easily, then that doesn't say too much about their character, does it?  A real "politician" would be one that sticks to their original goals, and aren't swayed by outside forces.  I would truly love to see that.

          I agree! smile

It speaks volumes about their character as an individual. It shows that they only pretended to be of good character, which also means, they were not only fooling people who voted for them, but also themselves.

@CAGSIG? women great thinkers who told me? OBESERVATION: Women  Analyze  situations and adapt to their calling, i.e., back in the day it was the women that stayed home and raised the children while the men went out and made the bread, the woman baked the bread while the men made it.

The women has to be great thinkers  to guide children knowing all their children needs, personality and guide them in the right direction. Women are able to withstand a great deal of pressure and hold up their position as a mother and wife, this along with a great deal more  observations assures me that women are great thinkers.

As said it take a village to raise children, maybe it does take a village but since the village never arrives the women takes on this task sometimes alone.

Here in the UK we have already had the experience of a woman in charge. I think it was something 13 years until she destroyed herself with a policy to far and the country revolted. Did Maggie Thatcher do a good job at the time YES, the country was a mess, the men of the time where all to grey and drab she had colour. The one thing she more than anything else was the womens vote! Actualy lets let women rule the world I am sure there would be less wars and more hanbag shops.

It has been said that what destroys a man or corrupts men is 3 things.
    1. Money
    2. Power and
    3. Women.

It appears all these parties elected over the years have allowed 1 or more of these to change their motives to fulfilled the job for the people who put them in office.

but what corrupts a women, haven't seen this yet?

Not to be pushing gender but with observing the facts below it's time to consider:

1.Men have had their time in office and has folded each one of them.

    2. Even the culture of men have been in office and the same results.

    3. Democratic Party Failed,

    4. Republican party failed.

With these facts in front of us, is it time for a Woman to do what is suppose to be the man job?

    1. Cagsil profile image69
Cagsilposted 12 years agoin reply to this

Actually, only one thing destroys a man or woman, and that would be a lack of character.
Untrue. It's misunderstood as it is. I wrote a hub on it.
Untrue. It's misunderstood as it is. I wrote a hub on it.
There's no doubt that a woman does have the ability to destroy a man. This is a given.
And, this is a surprise? Not to me.
      Already answered.
It would be nice to consider a woman for the office of President, unfortunately none of the politicians who are presently in politics are qualified for the job.

      1. lyns profile image71
lynsposted 12 years agoin reply to this

@ none qualifying for the position right now I may have to agree with this but,  perhaps there is  a woman out there who qualifies  that isn't  eager to be in power which does qualify, who can be approached to run for office, because there is definitely a need for change.

        1. Cagsil profile image69
Cagsilposted 12 years agoin reply to this

Yes there's a need for change.....

          A change in politics.
A change in the election process.
A change in how poverty stricken people are aided.
A change in how education is handled.
A change in how the homelessness situation is handled.
A change in how equality is seen among the people.
A change in how domestic protection is handled.
A change in how foreign policy is handled.
A change in how foreign threat protection is handled.

Yes, there's plenty to be changed.

@Cagsil, I agree with them all and if we are going to see any change in any of these there has to be a big change in who's running the office, especially the main change is this economic crisis we now have in America and the housing situation, when these change I believe it would take care of the other changes you addressed with the exception of a couple of them.  Where I live some many people have lost their jobs and homes, and without shelter and money how does one survive?

@Cagsil: (Cause Men to Fail)  I need to rephrase that, what destroys a man in power or position is:  1.  Women    2. Power    3. Money,
I'm sure character can cause an individual to be lack of the proper role in a relationship but when it comes to running a office, those three main things will cause them to fall and fail.
