To start a new hub, click on "start a new hub" on the top right corner of this page (it is in green text).  Then follow the step-by-step instructions to create your hub.  smile

Hi Brittanytodd thank you for your answer, that was really kind of you, I have tried that its when I get to choosing 2 words that relate to the poem and then write the code that I come into bother as I keep getting back to where I last was, also I think where one is meant to write give your hub a unique web address. I have written my e-mail which seems to be wrong and also the poetry club I use, their address, that also seems to be wrong, I’m rather green to all this. Once again thank you for taking time out

        Hey Neeta,

You're not suppose to be putting an an address. You're suppose to be putting in the title. The URL/Web Address is created for you when you create the title.

Check out my hub on How To Create a Hub : Hub Creation. It should tell you everything you need to know to get started. smile

        Welcome to HubPages! smile

          Hi Cagsil ,
i am sorry to sound pushy out here but it seems i am in some sort of a maze when creating my hub i entered my title for the article and then under neath it was my unique hub web address i did put in my name and all but it did not work and i also cannot find your hub also sorry to bother you but i am completely lost out here.
Do i have to put the address of my research source also with in the research or can do without it?
And can research be put in as it is or it should be in my own words?
          Neeta.

You're not being pushy, so don't worry about it.

Secondly, when you enter the title, you have no need to touch the next white box, because HubPages' Platform Software does the work for you with regards to creating the URL/Web Address.

As for finding my hub? Click on my profile/avatar and it should bring you to my profile and then you can click on the Hub called- How To Create a Hub : Hub Creation. Not to mention, Brittany Todd shared the link earlier in this thread, which means it's on the first page of this thread and you are presently on the second page.
            You can do without it.
Everything in your hub should be unique/original content. You can quote material from other places on the Internet, but make sure that there is more original(in your words explanation) of the material you use.

A quick word of advice- form your title properly. Do not use "ALL CAPS" for your title. And, there's a possibility that your hub will be pulled down due to it.

Using all caps is consider poor etiquette for online material. It means you are "SCREAMING AT PEOPLE!" and it's not likely to go over well.

You can find helpful advice here http://hubpages.com/learningcenter/contents

which you can find in future at the foot of the page and the FAQ's section is at the top of the page and called 'help'.

BTW Your first hub says it is taken from a book (yours?)- if that is already on the internet anywhere you will probably get a duplicate content message on it eventually. Just want to save you the trouble of posting and then wondering why you are being told it is duplicate later.

Also, Cagsil made a great hub recently that tells you how to make a new hub.  It's very detailed, so I suggest you read it before starting another.  You can find the hub by typing "Cagsil" into the search box above and look at his latest hubs.  Good luck!

I wish I could top that.  Haha.  Again, great hubs!  I think what you write is so vital to new hubbers and they should link to you in the learning center.

Okay, read Cagsil's article and you should be okay.  The "unique web address" should start with:  http://uppy.hubpages.com

When you type in the title of your hub, the address should automatically appear.  If you want to change it, only change the part after "http://uppy.hubpages.com/hub/"  (Do not use spaces or special characters like "@"

I'm sorry if this wasn't clear enough.  Let me know if you have more problems after reading Cagsil's hub

    Hello brittanytodd

Choose a Title. I set my title of my poem in.  The queen of wands

Give Your Hub a Unique Web Address I set in   www.soulasylum.com
    Underneath is  http://uppy.hubpages.com

Choose a Topic. Which Category Describes What Your Hub Is About? I click on browse and choose books, literature and writing and then click on choose optional and choose poems and poetry

Choose a Starting Layout I click on copy existing layout. (Have tried all the layouts with the same result)

Please Add At Least 2 Tags   Need more suggestions:  Here is a list of words that have nothing in common with what I am writing about so I choose my own queen of wands and tarot card

    Continue

Give Your Hub a Unique Web Address the background is in a dark shade
Select hub layout to reuse  the background is also in a dark shade and then click on continue, nothing happens then go back and change Select hub layout to reuse  and click on Count Dracula (taken from the book Eccentricity at its best once again nothing happens.

Sorry I missed this post earlier.  I have been so busy with Xmas.

Okay, you have to start the unique web address with "http://uppy.hubpages.com".

The address I suggest for your poem is: http://uppy.hubpages.com/hub/the-queen-of-words

It will automatically make this for you when you type in your title.  So, leave it as it is and then you will be able to continue.

I hope this helps and that I am not too late.

Merry Christmas (or happy holidays!) and have a great 2012!!!

Hey Uppy, when you type in the top white box, the title you want, you will notice that it also types in the URL/Web Address for your up and coming hub.

If you're writing a poem- then just put in the title of the poem and nothing else. You shouldn't be having such a hard time, considering you read the hub I wrote on Hub Creation.

I explained in detail what each section of that particular page. Your URL/Web Address is automatic. HubPages Platform software adds in everything you require for the URL/Web Address, so that it works.
