I will find out this coming Thursday if I have a job, however, I've already had one interview and was told that the owner has to do the hiring.  The person who interviewed me was so excited and so am I.

I want to thank everyone who has been supporting and thinking of me and sending prayers my way.  God has been good to me this week for sure.  I am surrounded by wonderful people here on HP who have kept my spirits up.  Keep the prayers coming and I'll let you all know Thursday what the outcome is.

      Sarra, that's fantastic!!!

What's the wardrobe situation?  Email me.  I may have a few things that I can send you.  My fear is that they won't fit properly, but if you have any alteration skills, they may be workable at least!

Thank you Motown!  Work clothes will be easy, jeans and a t-shirt.  It's for an answering service so no one comes into the office, whoo hoo!  No fancy clothes to wear, besides I can only wear my work boots due to my ankle so all is good.  You are sooooo sweet!!!

Too funny because I've been walking by this place for a week and never noticed the sign on the door before.  I stopped in, filled out an app, had an interview and was there for about an hour just talking with the gal that interviewed me.  I offered to work any shift, weekends and holidays as well as fill ins as they are running 24/7.  I used to own my own answering service years ago so this is going to be great.  Whoo Hoo, I'm so excited, just hope I'm not jinxing myself.

Wonderful news, Sarra!  Things are looking up some, aren't they?  Here's crossing fingers and toes that it works out.

I'd offer to fill out your wardrobe some as well, but somehow doubt that anything I have would make proper business attire for you. big_smile

I've read some of your forum threads and I know it's been so hard for you.  We never know how strong the human spirit is until we are required to reach out, and find that it really is the strength that helps us to keep going.  We are all connected in that light.  We need one another.  Keep smiling! Things are looking up for you.

There were many days I just wanted to throw up my arms and quit but that's just not like me. Funny but I know my dogs have kept me going.  I can't wait until Thursday so I can say I did get hired, but I'm pretty sure I did.  If not, well, there is always another day.  Thank you so much for your well wishes, keep them coming!!!

Sarra - I've followed the forums but never piped in as I don't really know you. One thing that comes through is that you're an amazingly positive person - you've been through so much but your attitude was one of adventure rather than an attitude that society needs to provide for you. You have amazing courage and strength and deserve the world!

Your journey is an amazing one and I hope it is finally getting better - I for one will be waiting for the blockbuster movie!

Thank you SimeyC for the kind words.  It certainly hasn't been easy especially at 50.  It's a younger persons world now as this old grey mare just ain't what she used to be.  smile  It has been hard to keep my spirits and fortitude alive but I'm just not done here on earth yet.  HyphenBird told me that when you surround yourself with good people and those who believe in God anything is possible.

I believe in God, and certainly through HP, I have surrounded myself with wonderful people who are also believers.   I have 'met' the most wonderful people here and the words of encouragement and prayers have been more than welcomed.

I can't wait until Thursday when I can tell all of you that I am gainfully employed.  I'll just have to write a book someday smile.  It's been a long and winding road with a lot of huge bolders in my way, but I've been chipping away at those bolders and have them down to hand sized rocks now.

      Is it Thursday yet?

Now that's the way to, GET-ER-DONE. Good for you, Sarra. I can't say enough as to how happy it makes me to hear a GREAT, post, like this.

Good luck and Merry Christmas and Hope you have a Heck of a Happy New Year.

I have a friend who is getting Bounced after, 11 years on the Job on December 21. As you all can see, this will not be too good of a Xmas for her. She works at Home, on her Computer,

Something to do with Medical records. She is all up in the air. I am trying to help her as much as I can.

She is in Anniston, Alabama, I am in Thompson Falls, Montana. I have been sending everything I find/run into, to her.

Any idea's, from any of you, would be much appreciated.

I am very happy for you Sarra. Good luck and I hope you seal the deal.

Hi Oly:  So good to hear from you and thank you for your well wishes they are very much appreciated.  Merry Christmas to you too my friend.

I'm so sorry to hear about your friend who has lost her job and here I'm getting one.  Tell her she can't give up no matter what!  Does she have a craft she can sell?  I was told about a really neat  website:   http://www.zazzle.com where you can open a store without any type of capital at all.  I haven't set anything up yet but plan to.  I don't know how much $ you can earn, but if you pick the right item to sell I'm sure people do great.    I've never had much luck at blogging but then again, I'm not too computer oriented as to how to set up a website (I can do a lot of other things though)  guess I'm old fashioned....or just old smile   This time of year is so hard to find jobs too, does she write for HP?  Tell her to immediately sign up for unemployment now as there is a 2 week wait, sign up for food stamps and go to the food banks.

No matter how hard it gets she needs to keep her head up and pray.  Believe me, I know how difficult it can be.  I kept going door to door and bugging businesses and filling out apps.  However, the job I found I hadn't seen it before and literally stumbled upon it.
