   My Thoughts: Greatest Entertainer of All Times. Even thought there are lots of controversies associated with him, I find him the most down to earth man.

      He was a great star but nasty people tried to bring him down and sadly they did in the end.  Michael was a fit man. He got over the first sexual allegation. (How parents can accept £25Million in compensation of their son being abused, I do not know)
      
      The second trial took a toll on him.  Stress can wreck a person and he became so frail. Imagine the shame of being arrested, his mugshut all over the papers, police searching his personal belongings/house, being taunted by the media.  Even his interview with Bashir was edited to make him look bad.  He said in the interview,  "children sleep in my bed and I sleep on the floor".  Edited version: "Children sleep in my bed"!
      
      As time went on, he relied on drugs but the underlying factor was mostly the court cases.  (I know he wasn't happy with how he looked but that didn't break him as a man).
      May his soul rest in peace and for all those who have accused him falsely, they will never find peace.
      
      I believe he had a heart of Gold.

      Regardless of all the controversy, Michael Jackson was one of the most entertaining artists of all time. His humanitarian efforts are what I love most. He always tried to 'heal the world'. His music has been loved by me since I could walk and talk. I will always love him as a person, a humanitarian, and the King of Pop. He will be missed.

   You must have an insight that is not available to most of the world.  From everything I have seen about him in recent years the last thing I would have thought of him is down to earth.  I thought he came across as totally out of touch with reality.  I always figured that reality was only necessary for people who had to pay bills.

   I saw him as the George Best of Music, a troubled soul with a natural born genius that eventually like Best destroyed him. I heard today that years ago he signed a contract for 890 Million Dollars but he died bankrupt. Unreal or what !
   
   Personally I don't care if he was out of touch with reality. What is reality, you wake up, work, go to bed, etc etc. Jackson like Best gave me so much pleasure and I loved the fact that he was different. That he dyed his skin, changed his nose, was so damn eccentric but he was DIFFERENT and he was a FLAWED GENIUS.

      Agree. He made History. Lived his life. Not only he died bankrupt but even had huge debt on him. The London Tour was all meant to clear off all his debts. His life seems like a thriller movie.

   He was the best entertainer the world has ever known and I love him for that.Though I do not have a musical bone in my body he was born for it,a gift from God that he spread to all around the world.

   No matter what anyone thinks, he was a hman being. He was tremndously gifted and talented and tortured. He may have put some of that torture on himsef, but who are we to judge? He had family that loved him, no mattter what, as families do. He desrves to be left alone now. He's paid his debt.

   A beautiful and sensitive soul ,his talents gifted through his music..
   pgrundy wrote a hub about Michael and it was so interesting to see how he (and others) struggled and found a way to express themselves with music, depsite the barriers and personal events.
   
   I wish the media would let him rest in peace ,but they wont,they are the ones who need the reality check in my opinion
   major reality check!!

   When he was a little boy he was a talented singer.  When I think of what happened to that little boy over time I find it sad.  Still, once he outgrew the little boy's voice, I think his main talent was dancing and having the right hype machines and people like Quincy Jones at all times.  I know my impression could be wrong, but I think he turned on the syrupy sweet girly voice for his own purposes, and I think he was a shrewd, far-from-syrupy, crafty, individual.  In other words, I think he was a mediocre voice with amazing dancing ability.  He was obviously a giant pop star, which doesn't always (in fact seldom) translate to being a giant talent.  I think of his tragic (and marred) life, and I can't help but think it would have been so much better for him if someone had pulled him out of that "music scene" before the industry and handlers were allowed to do a job on him.
   
   To each his own, as far as "best entertainer ever" goes, but I think people who think he was the best haven't moved far outside of, or past, the 1980's pop music and sampled some true musical genius throughout recent and not-so-recent history.  For the past 10 or so years I would have thought Michael Jackson was just a bizarre has-been, so I've been surprised at the resurrection of his apparent popularity now that he died.  It's very sad when someone dies that young.  I feel awful that those children have lived with what they have.  There, now I've said what I've been wanting to say somewhere over the last few days.  It won't be popular, but I thought I'd add some balance.  Of course, many people in the US did write him off after just what he did admit to when it came to young kids; and I guess people outside the US were more forgiving (or less aware?).  Now there's even talk about some worldwide simultaneous memorial thing.  Who does that?  Farrah Fawcett is being buried in a private ceremony, the way most people are.  His "people" are keeping the whole hype thing going even now that he's dead. 
   
   Poor guy.  Sorry he's dead.  Sorry for his family.  He left behind some cute pop music, which is nice.

    What's going to happen to those kids of his who have never had a normal childhood?  Will their mothers step forward and take them or will his family keep them, as I'm pretty sure DNA will prove he's not their natural father.  I think all the hormone injections he took to keep his voice sounding like an 8 year old's would have affected his fertility.

       Actually, cindy, the mask you're wearing in your latest photo is very similar to the one those children were seen wearing when out in public.  Maybe they'd be right at home if you applied to be their guardian.     In all seriousness, I have a real hard time with adults who are willing to let children take the brunt of their own "issues" (whether their own or other people's children).  He either knew he had "issues" (in which case he went ahead and brought children into the picture in spite of them); or else he was nutty enough not to know, in which case those poor children have lived with a mentally disturbed individual all this time.

          I agree.  That's why I'm concerned about those kids?  I don't think they've ever socialised with other children or gone to a school.  Weren't they home-tutored?

    MJ was an popular entertainer despite his personal woes.
    Many other entertainers have some downright wierd behaviours as well. ( actually pretty disgusting) yet they are protected by their own Countrys corruptness or simply can afford better lawyers.
    
    The kids wont go hungry so in todays worlds stats, thats gotta be a plus.

       tell me about it ( working on hubs )an the humidity I hate too ,keeps melting the cream faster than I can eat it!! I have 3 hubs started in my head and cant get past 50 words and end up fiddle faddling round here instead.

    Not to further elaborate (at least not more than this, here) about the allegations/charges at this stage in the game (and so soon after his death), but I can see it both ways.  I can see how rotten people would try to take advantage.  That happens.  I can also see, though, how if you're dealing with unmarried, struggling, Susie-mom (who would even think it was a great thing to let her kid spend the night at a stranger's house just because he was who he was); it's easy enough to imagine Susie-mom having high-powered, domineering, lawyers point out all the reasons she may not want to further pursue things.  There's one famous attorney in California who was known for actually approaching violence and threatening it (and he's just one guy).
    
    Jackson admitted giving kids wine.  I mean, if I were going to have a bunch of kids stay at my house so I could give them a great visit; I'd do something like give them all nice, new, sleeping bags and let them do what kids do on any sleepover (without involving my bedroom and bed).  I may stay up all night and supervise.  I may set a bedtime at x o'clock.  If I think back to when I was a kid, would I have wanted to sleep in the bedroom of a stranger?  No.  So these kids either didn't want that either, or else they were kids starved for attention to the point of not being like "regular" kids.
    
    To be honest, if some clown gave my child wine I would have been ready to kill him just for that, alone.   Based on what he, himself, admitted, it doesn't look good.  Is there a chance he was just so stupid he set himself up for what happened?  Maybe.  Some things came out, though, that implied it was more than that.  It's not our business at this point, but I find it pretty easy to believe either way.  Also, there's the thing that a classic behavior of a pedophile is showing a little more interest in kids than is generally what others of a gender/age normally show.  Another one is emphasing the "loving" factor.  I've always reserved judgement on this particular issue, since we'll never know - but you can guess my leanings.

       Right. We are no one to judge anybody. We all love kids. We all Kiss Kids. Do we know what is there in people's mind when they kiss a kid? MJ's love for kids must be having his own reasons. We don't know. If the allegation of that 13 year boy was true, I don't see any reason why his parents settled "out of court" in return of HUGE Money. This gives the smell of something fishy!
       
       MJ's addiction to drugs must be having his own reasons. We don't know. Calling a Genus a "Clown" just because of looks seems foolish to me. Millions of people around the world have adopted MJ's looks and are making a living for themselves and their family. If a clown's look can give food to so many people, I am ready to be a clown.
       
       Mj is not dead. He is alive. He is alive the the hearts of millions of his fans. I am one of them.

HE PUT ROCK AND ROLL, SOUL , PUNK, COUNTRY, FOLK, ETC. ALL IN HIS MUSIC. HE WAS ABLE TO BRING BLACKS,WHITES, SPANISH, ASIAIAN, ETC.  ALL INTO ONE SONG. AMAZING. HE WAS A PEOPLE PERSON. HOW MANY ENTERTAINERS DO YOU SEE LOVING TO MEET PEOPLE, LOVE CHILDREN, THE WAY MIKE DID? WHOEVER CHOOSE HIS OUTFITS WAS A GENIUS.THE MAN WAS ALL AROUND. A COMPLETE PACKAGE.

    Michael Jackson died really young at 50 just like Elvis died in his 40's. Both great performers. I agree, there's nothing more to say than Michael Jackson was the King of Pop, and may his soul rest in peace!
