Just wondering how many others on hubpages have been ask to submit articles for Linked. I just don't have the time.  They don't pay, however they promote your articles on other social networks.

Audrey, if they don't pay at all, I wouldn't bother. Especially since you don't have the time.

If they're sending out invitations, that should be a red flag right there. They're trying to boost their Google rankings without having to pay for it. Never write for free unless it's a one-time deal with a heavy blogger that is well-known and gives you the byline. Even then, the big guys in the blogosphere will pay you for your post.

I also received an invitation to write for them. Not sure I'll do it.

After having so many hubs stolen for the purpose of SEO I am not a fan of doing the work while some else gets the money.

Wow, a lot of Linkedin members are being approached and invited to write and publish with Linkedin. I got an invitation from Linkedin myself.

Many people here are saying they are reticent about writing for LinkedIn.

But for marketing your work, marketing your name or brand and when it comes to strengthening your writing reputation, you have to admit it is certainly appealing. And LinkedIn has millions of members who would be reading whatever we write and submit there. That is no small thing by any means.

And I do take the point that as writers we would not be paid for it.

But we also know that there are other ways in which this could and would be beneficial to us and for our writing work, and bodies of work we represent on the web. It would be also a benefit for anyone else that we also happen to represent. Anyone who has ever done freelance writing knows what this means.

Meanwhile HubPages also wins as HubPages is a great place to not only learn the ropes and become a good writer, but members here benefit from earning from their Hubs, and can benefit from this great writing community. HubPages is the best writing community for what it does on the web.

We are allowed to include our LinkedIn link on our profile pages here. I have my link on my profile page already. And we would be promoted by LinkedIn on other social media platforms.

There are many sides to the argument of either for or not for publishing on LinkedIn. This is just my humble two cents worth here.

I have heard of this. I think it is not all about making money, sometimes you have to just go with it. It is not about the money, but the promotion itself it is money.. so.. you get the idea.
