   crisis, that the influx of immigration should  be curbed unless it is determined that the immigrant has either contributable  thus relevant educational and technical skills?   Furthermore, do YOU believe that the influx of immigrants from contentious areas is going to eventually ruin America?  Why?  Why not?

      Immigration isn't really a big problem at this point.
      
      Illegal aliens taking up residence in the US and draining resources, on the other hand, MUST be curbed.

         I meant illegal "immigration", just being politically correct.  However, you are correct regarding the issue of illegal "immigrants."     Yes, the latter should be curbed, if not stopped.  They are taking needed jobs and draining resources.   America has only finite resources for its own people, let alone illegals.  Illegals and immigrants who don't have useful skills should be PREVENTED from entering America.

            Illegal immigration is the result of unrestrained capitalism.  By its nature capitalism causes wealth to migrate into concentrations both at a nation level and towards the rich within a nation. The greater the concentration of wealth the greater the opportunity to increase that wealth within that concentration, thus income disparities between rich and poor will only ever increase. Illegal immigration is the result of those in poor nations with very little opportunity to advance socio-economically perceiving that their best chance is to move to a wealthier nation.
            
            Rather than pulling up the drawbridge and saying "you shall not pass" perhaps it would be better if those nations were assisted in the improvement of their economies by wealthier nations,  such as fair trading policies rather than letting an unrestrained market ruin local productivity.  For example I saw a documentary the other night that showed how cheap low nutritional manufactured food from the US had flooded the Mexican market forcing out the local production of fresh food.  As a result obesity and other health problems in Mexico were on the increase, almost to American levels.
            
            If you don't want illegal immigration you need to make it more desirable for people to remain in their own countries and that can only happen by adopting policies of wealth distribution and fair economic policies to national governments

               Sounds like what you really mean is "Take from the rich and give to the poor", by force if necessary.  Force, because many (most?) of the countries will not allow charity to their citizens. 
               
               I say this, in part, because of your negative comments to the US selling cheap food to Mexicans - the people cannot afford to buy expensive food, so give it to them instead.  And to then claim that the rise in obesity and health problems is caused by eating American produced food is ridiculous; you have no indication that it is happening or that the results without that food would be any better (obesity beats starvation any day).

      This entire subject of illegal immigration is not an easy problem to resolve or even to reduce.
      
      The process for legal immigration is complex, expensive, and loaded with red tape and delays.  Someone wishing to legally immigrate to this country could actually die of old age before their application gets approved.  Perhaps if Congress would actually sit down and really work on this problems things would improve to some degree.  But we all know that the main role of our elected representatives is fattening their own wallets and fighting for votes for themselves and their party.
      
      Our degraded education system has resulted in thousands of unskilled workers graduating from high school every year.  Many high school graduates can barely read or write and have limited job opportunities.  They too quickly become another financial drain on our economy in the way of food stamps and other financial assistance programs.
      
      Due to high corporate taxes many manufacturing companies have closed their doors and moved to greener pastures.  The job opportunities are very limited even for college graduates.
      
      What is left are those hard physical labor jobs, dirty jobs, and menial jobs most of our unemployed are not willing or physically able to do.  Many of those entering this country illegally are more than willing to do these jobs because it is better than what was available wherever they came from.
      
      Even though we are told these illegal residents don't qualify for financial assistance, most of us know better.  The agencies in charge of handing out "entitlements" are anxious to enroll new recipients as a form of job security for themselves.  Visit any hospital ER and you will find long lines of people from other countries ahead of you in the line.  Before you ask, no I didn't ask them where they are from but I can make an educated guess based on the language they were speaking.
      
      Years ago we had a "Bracero Program" for farm labor.  Farmers needing help registered with the dates and numbers of employees they needed,  Job seekers registered for work in their own countries and the "Bracero Program" put the two together.  This program actually worked so it was of course discontinued.
      
      There is no quick and easy fix to this problem that will not affect some of the other issues this country is facing.  Every action does have an opposite and equal reaction.
      
      I do know that if my family was starving and I knew there was work available in Mexico I would be on my way.  Survival is a very strong instinct, much stronger than our failing immigration laws.

      I don't know if you are referring to recent over run of the borders by children or the general influx of illegal Immigrants over the past couple of decades. From what I can gather there has been a large number of illegals returning to their Central and South American countries due to lack of jobs. Is it out exasperation that they send these children here so they may escape the violence and poverty back home? That seems to be the general consensus but what to do with the children without knowledge of who they belong to back home? Is it fair to extend them a free pass or send them back for their governments to deal with the situation? How can we know how they will be treated with stories of child sex trafficking and kidnapping a very lucrative business for those that have the ability to execute their trade with this opportunity? The other thing is that while tying up  ICE with this massive crowd of children coming in the Smugglers are able to conduct their trade while the ICE agents are busy. What a mess and what is the solution?
