We are researching some reports of users having issues sharing Hubs.
The report is that the button does not appear and in others the button is not responsive.
Is anyone experiencing this?
If so, what are the details?
What OS?
Browser and browser version?
Does it affect specific Hubs?
Does clearing your browser cache and rebooting your machine have any effect?
Does the issue persist in another browser like Firefox, Chrome, or Opera?
I have not seen a 'Share' button for four-five day. It does not show on any hub that I have looked at, nor on my feed. Before that it has been extremely slow, and I usually can write a detailed comment before it will finally get around to sharing. This is not just the HubPages share, it is all of them.
I have tried Chrome and Firefox, no difference. I cleared my cache, ran programs to clean the computer and restarted it. No difference.
I used CCleaner and Avast. I have Windows 7. Sorry about missing those.
The share button was removed from the feed some time ago.
As for the share button on Hubs, I checked 6 of your Hubs using both Chrome 38.0.2125.101 m and Chrome 38.0.2125.111 m in Windows 7 and see the share buttons on each of the Hubs I checked.
Please clear your browser cache, upgrade to the latest version of Chrome, and restart your computer.
Also make sure to disable or remove any browser extensions as well as any ad-blocking software.
OS: Windows 8
Browser: Chrome the latest version
Status: working fine
The share button worked fine for me this morning using Firefox. No issues here.
Whenever I press the share button, nothing happens after even several presses, and after waiting for as long as 30 minutes for a response.
What OS? - Windows 8.1
Browser and browser version? Firefox 32.0.3 & IE 11
Does it affect specific Hubs? Affects all Hubs I view.
Does clearing your browser cache and rebooting your machine have any effect? No.
Thanks!
I'm using Firefox (latest version) and Windows 8. I clicked on share with followers on one of my own hubs. I got the "are you sure you want to share this hub with followers" button. I clicked yes but nothing happened, so I clicked yes again. Minimized the window and went to home page and it has not been shared. While I was writing this, the minimized window states that the hub has been shared. I don't see it on the feed page, but then I don't always see my hubs that I have shared on the feed.
I then went to a hub written by someone else - calculus-geometry, shared it with followers and waited a while until it said it was shared. Went to my homepage, refreshed the page, and I do not see that hub as being shared either. I knew you would ask, so I cleared the cache and refreshed the homepage, and still do not see either hub shared.
When you share a Hub (H+) button it is shared to your followers.
The feed will show you things that people you are following share and not content you share with others.
I have had this problem intermittently.
It makes no difference as to whether I have or have not cleared my cache.
I use XP Pro with Chrome. Firefox slows my machine down too much.
I always run ad-blocking software (ad block plus), and the issue is unrelated to that, because, as I said, it is intermittent, and I never turn off the ad blocker. That means the ad blocker is not what is preventing the share button from working, or it would never work.
I have the issue in Firefox all the time. I tried it in IE and it was still a issue.

For the last several days if I wish to share a good hub from a HP author with my followers, it won't do it for some reason. Is anyone else having this problem?

Benefits of sharing Hubs? Can someone explain what the benefits of sharing Hubs are? Everyday on my page I see that the majority of the Hubs are being shared.Should I be sharing that much?

I've been seeing hubs that have been "shared by" another hubber (i.e. the person posting it is not the person that originally wrote it). What is the purpose of this? Is there some benefit to this or are people just "sharing" hubs they like? Do you have to have...

Internal sharing means internal traffic - and internal traffic doesn't make money the way external traffic does. There is already external traffic counts for tweets, pins and likes.

If I come across a hub shared by someone I follow, which was written by someone I also follow, is it better for the original writer to go the their profile to read the hub, or read it from the shared info? I seem to miss some hubs from people I follow. Help, as always, appreciated.

I would love to see a feature that Hubbers could explain - in say, maybe 100 characters? - why they are sharing a particular Hub with their followers. I just shared a Hub but would love to have been able to tell people why I was sharing it.Is this feasible? I genuinely believe this may lead to...
