Recently, when I've upload a photo image, it shows a little X box after it's loaded.  Why is that? Is it a glitch or something else? Sometimes when I save it, it shows, while other times, it doesn't load when it saved. Does anyone else experience this problem too?

Yes, I have run into that little glitch. When the photo does not show up I open the photo capsule again and save it, then the photo shows up.

I haven't had that experience, but when I try to upload a photo from my own images (already in the system) the actual image doesn't load or show, but there's a tiny box with an X in it while I am in the editing mode.

Since the photo itself doesn't appear, I have not finalized the edit when that happened, but I wonder if that's the same mysterious X.  It's sort of like the X we would push to delete that image in the editing mode. Oddly, the system does import the caption and the source url information.  Just no photo. I end up getting out of the capsule with nothing done - I don't want to 'save' it in that condition.

I fixed it too by saving it, and then the photo showed up. At first, nothing showed up. So, try saving it no matter what.

The X is usually there when editing in or outside of the box/frame in case you want to delete the photo and upload again. It should be no problem. The X shows up for each photo that you upload even within the same frame.

Well in my case the photo showed and then disappeared again, I saved it again and it disappeared again. The photos not showing in edit mode is very frustrating when uploading a few for a thumbnail view. In edit mode I can't see which one is already there.

edit to add: just now a new uploaded photo is only showing half

edit to add: I had to change the name of photo in order to get it uploaded again, it's still showing the X but at least it's not half anymore. I will quit updating hubs for a while until this problem is solved.

Yes, I have experienced that last night when updating and uploading new photos. At least the photos showed up after that. Maybe it was just a glitch.

Thanks for letting us know. The issue was identified a few days ago and is being addressed by our engineers.

My apologies for the delayed acknowledgment of our awareness of the issue. I was also able to reproduce it in Chrome and Firefox (on a PC running Windows 7). Luckily, as many have mentioned, the photos ARE actually saved in the capsule despite the red 'X' and lack of a preview.

Ah thanks Camille for letting us know that it's being addressed. It's annoying when you don't see the picture in edit mode.

Our fabulous engineers just deployed a build that took care of the issue. Can you let me know if you're still experiencing it?

My photo capsule is working just fine now (in Firefox and Chrome)! (Exit now if you don't like adorable puppies smile ):

Camille, thanks for the update, when they had addressed the issue. I'll get back to you on it tomorrow, when I upload a new photo to a previous hub.
